Mad Dog 357 Scorpion Pepper Hot Sauce 5oz

One of my favorites, Great flavor. If your looking for a good flavored hot sauce this one fits the bill. I also have the Regular Mad Dog 357 which is Holy Hot, Hot, Hot.... Between this Mad Dog 357 Scorpion (Rated at 100,000 Scoville Units) And the Mad Dog 357 Ghost (which is a little hotter and rated at 160,000 Scoville Units they are 2 of my favorites out of my Hot Sauce collection. My other Favorite which is very good also but not nearly as hot is the Mad Dog Sriracha that is rated at 50,000 Scoville Units. My go to with omelettes or breakfast burritos. I have other brands and others that I like but these have become my go to’s... I also have Blair’s Ultra Death Sauce (very good, Hot) Dave’s Ultimate insanity (not a favorite) and Cajohn’s - Z Nothing Beyond & Trinidad I like the Cajohn’s I got except for the El chupacabra (watery vinegar) Have other’s but this is it in a nut shell. Kind of a Jamaican jerk type flavor, with sweet and cinnamon-y spice. Seriously excellent flavor, probably my favorite of all hot sauces I like. (I like Crybaby Craig's Garlic Habanero, Frank's Red Hot, Tabasco, sriracha, MD357 Reaper sriracha, MD357 Ghost) I just got into these next level sauces. Of the 3 Mad Dogs I have so far, Scorpion is by far the best, and is the hottest. See, where I expected the Reaper to be the hottest, it's actually the lesser burn of the 3, and this is due to amounts of ingredients. You can see on the label that reapers are way down the list, whereas the Ghost has those ghosts right up front to bite your tongue, and the Scorpion has both Murugas &&& ghost peppers closer to the top of the ingredient list! Note that the burn comes on slow with this one and builds. I love this stuff, really. My favorite way to have it is a dab on a ham steak with my breakfast. So good!

This is a great sauce. Has an excellent taste and very hot. I wouldnt say this is the hottest thing I have ever eatin but its up there. You will not want to more than half a teaspoon on a taco , chicken wing etc. Biggest thing for me though was the taste. This sauce is kind smokey like chipotle pepper , but to me has a better flavor. This sauce will make you sweat though. But it didnt bother my stomach like some really hot sauces. Great sauce all around. Last comment I would say for a heat rating , this is around a 7-8 out of 10. But it is enough.

I have really been enjoying this Mad Dog Scorpion Hot Sauce. As an addict of spicy, self-inflicted pain I have found that this hot sauce pairs very well with some Indian and Mediterranean dishes. It has some notes of cinnamon (or a similar spice I haven't been quite able to put my finger on) so it works well with similar aromatic dishes. The flavor is strong enough that you can't rely on this single bottle to kick up any dish a notch, the flavor is that specific. The heat, well it's freakin hot. I've had this bottle for about 3 weeks and I'm halfway through it to give you an idea of my usage. In contrast to this hot sauce, I have various bottles of Dave's Insanity (original, habanero, ghost pepper) that I use to have more subtle effects on flavor and provide the right heat for mouth melting meals.

Spicy and flavorful, but not overpowering or overbearing. Expected to be much hotter, but it was still very hot. It was enough to change skin colors, get the sinuses pouring, and feel like your tongue is being stung by scorpions. My poor, unsuspecting sister walked in during our taste tests. I handed her what she believed was simply some mild salsa. One small bite later she was chasing me through the house with the intent to kill as her lips and mouth flamed up from the lava that is this Scorpion Sauce. One surprise I didn't like is that the number one ingredient is vinegar, despite it not being listed in the ingredients on this site nor on Mad Dog's own site. All in all, it was very good. With a sweet smokey smell and a very nice bite.

It's hot but in have to use 2 spoons to make me even to get the sweats that's when the taste gets me. It taste ok in small amounts but it has this weird sweet taste the vinegar is up there. This is not much hotter than Tabasco sauce is to me. I will not be ordering this again.

Great sauce! Would also be great if it came with a flow restrictor insert to allow for more controlled pours.

DO NOT BUY! IVE BUYING FROM THIS VENDOR, THEY CHANGED THE FORMULA AND THEY BEEN USING THE CHEAP WAY OF EXTACT INSTEAD OF ACTUAL PEPPERS. ITS NOT THE SAME ANYMORE! MY WIFE AND I NOTICE THE CHANGE!
