Harry Craddock was a United States citizen who left during Prohibition and joined the American Bar at the Savoy Hotel, London, in 1920. Craddock was one of the most famous cocktail barmen of the 1920s and 1930s. Craddock's "The Savoy Cocktail Book" was published in 1930, and is still in print today. Craddock invented a number of classic cocktails, including the famous Corpse Reviver #2 and possibly including the White Lady, and popularised the Dry Martini. Best cocktail book ever !
My husband says it is the best cocktail book he has ever read. Every evening he serves me one (no two ☺️) while wearing his dinner jacket, white shirt and bow tie - the rest of him in the buff apart from his CB-6000. I feel like a Queen when he stands in attention for my second drink !

Great content , bad quality publication
Great little cocktail book though very poor quality print. A bad facsimile. Liked the idea of it and the friend whom I gave it to loved it.

Must have cocktail book
A bit oldy worldly but a must have on your cocktail shelf. All the classics are there with excellent recipes which all work really well. Obviously the newer, ‘contemporary’ cocktails don’t appear. I wouldn’t be without it

You can't be serious about cocktails without owning this book
We were told about this book by an extremely informed bartender in an excellent cocktail bar. He told us this book was a barman's 'bible'. I love the book, it's a real classic and really does have the recipes for pretty much all the cocktails you would ever need. Never mind the major street-cred you get for having it on your shelf!

Instantly become a mixologist with this book.
It has been fun learning about historic drinks and recreating cocktails from yesteryear. I have made it a weekly passtime mixing various drinks found in this book for freinds and family and my list of favorites continues to grow.
