I'm basically purchased this because I was looking for something to secure my toddler. While I was home he got outside of my front door. I looked and was quite surprised and thought I needed more protection from him trying to leave the house and also keep the aesthetic of my front door without having a chain lock. This was right on time. The ease of installation was okay which is my only knock I didn't really chip away at the wood like they recommend it because I didn't really want to damage my door frame however I did find a workaround where I moved it back a little bit further and used all the screws that were allotted in the package. You have to be careful to line this up exactly or you will have a problem closing your door which is another knock. The lock is solid quality it locks very well the other thing that I had trouble with is when you first get the lock you have to use a small allen wrench to turn two screws so the lock itself won't be so rigid and slides back and forth easily. They also provide you with a rubber pad that it hears to the door so when someone opens it it doesn't SCAR or damage your front door. When I apply these and told my toddler to open the door he struggled and could not do it also he could not reach it because the height at which I put it at which was another thing where I got my value for my money. I put one on my front door and also my back door and have had amazing results since then. So despite the few downsides of the product I still gave it five stars because overall it did a good job of keeping my toddler from going out the door without my permission because they learn to access locks really easily because their floor level great product

Just finished installing the security lock. Follow directions and you will get a good security system for your door. Very easy to use, just slide lever to left to lock and to right unlock. Easy as that. A really great product to secure your door from unwanted intruders.

Nice and sturdy, but I could not use it in my specific case. It appeared to be sturdy and the installation was the same as the other similar products. Once installed correctly it would be secure, but unfortunately it wasn't;t going to work in my specific case. This is a great product for protection from somebody trying to break into your residence/business. It is not so great when you are trying to prevent a person (child or at risk adult) from leaving the premises.

But I work nights, so at least I can make them get up and let me in! Easy to install, look nice, and Definitly work well.

I like the overall quality of them, but the set screws moved while installed causing it to not slide any longer making me to have to buy stubby Allen Wrenches to jimmy in there and adjust them (I would rather not remove them as that would compromise the security of the initial wood screw installation). I wish you would have mentioned something like this being a problem, that way I could have loctited the set screws.

These are the real deal. Great solid locks. I did need to cut out a section of the doors moulding for it to fit flushed but works great.

I have had these locks on double doors for a couple of years now. They are still fantastic and every time I unlock them I think about how happy I am that I got them. Easy to install, VERY secure, even for double doors!!! I would say they are the only way to go with double doors! I highly recommend these.

The item arrived promptly and in excellent condition. Unfortunately, it wasn't compatible with my door due to the thickness and narrow door gap. I contacted the seller about this issue, and they were incredibly helpful in working out a satisfactory resolution. Their customer service was outstanding. The lock itself appears to be well-made and high quality.

Included in a very small box is two locks, rubber shims for protecting the door, an allen key for adjusting how easy it is to slide the lock, and screws for installing it. It is so much better than the usual flimsy chains people use. It looks great, is strong and seems to be of great quality. Sadly I could not fit them as my architrave is just too large and the screw holes are only half on the wood. The problem is not the product's fault, it's that I have unusual door frames and didn't realise how large they were. It was given to my father who has installed one on his garden door, which he praises and is very happy with, while the other has been installed on his front door but says the door is too tight to the frame and rubs against the lock. I will shave a little from his door and it should fit as good as his garden one.

Really good dead bolt lock type thing for strengthening any door.

These door locks withstand heavy pressure from forced entry. They are solid protection from home invasion when properly installed. Highly recommended!!!
