Why all the confusion regarding timer - I want to send to my mom in assisted living and hoping it has a timer?

Mine is set on timer and it works well every night.

Is the birch tree the exact same in the two pack and four pack?

Yes, the two pack and four pack birch trees are same. But the interactive birch trees can synchronize the setting of all trees through one button and free your hands, which is different. Thanks.

If you get two trees do you get two timer boxes?

There is a timer on each tree. Really love my trees

The lights on my trees started off white but have turned yellowish. Is that normal?

I have not noticed that. However, my batteries are dying so the lights are much more dim now.
