This is a very fun game. It is not "high strategy" by any means. It is good, clean fun. You can teach it and learn it very quickly. The gameplay is quick. There is some randomness in it, but as long as you expect that the randomness makes it more fun. I have played this with various groups. Even my "serious" gamer friends enjoy it now and then.

Spectacular game—fun, engaging, and guaranteed to create plenty of rivalry and laughs. I highly recommend it. I play it with my wife and my 8-year-old daughter, and we absolutely love it. The components are high quality overall. The only issue is The Crew expansion, designed by Space Cowboys (an Asmodee studio): the game board is RIDICULOUS—just a thin, poorly made sheet of paper, which is a huge downgrade from the board included in the first version of the expansion. Asmodee, please reconsider this. The Crew is a fantastic expansion that adds even more depth and layers to Jamaica, and it deserves a board that matches the quality of the rest of the game.

Very cute family style game that has alot of replayability. You're racing around a track, playing the cards in your hands. A little luck with which cards you have, but plenty of strategy as well. This is a game you can pull out to play with anyone, and they would catch on quickly. Lots of fun.

This isn't a game for those who are looking for a lot of strategy, but this is a nice "race around the board" palate cleanser or something to play with your friends who aren't hardcore into board games. You *do* have to think about your moves and form something of a plan, but you won't be thinking moves and moves and moves ahead.

I bought this on the recommendation of a coworker who runs a board games meetup group. He told me it was his “go to” game for new players but that it was almost always in the rotation even for seasoned players. After playing it with my family over the Thanksgiving holiday, I can definitely see why! Our group of 6, ages 26 to 56, had a great time playing it and they wanted to play it again multiple times over the 4 days instead of moving to a different game. The game is fairly easy to learn, each turn has players selecting their card at the same time and then the turns are short and often impact other players. This means less time sitting around and waiting for other players or being bored until it is your turn again. Combat between players is frequent and low stakes enough to be fun and not strongly avoided. Because of the amount of luck (via dice rolls and drawing cards), the game is well balanced. So a player who looks to be trailing for most of the game can suddenly come from behind and be in contention to win. It also means that new players have just as much chance of winning as board games regulars. There is just enough strategy to keep the experienced players interested without giving them a major advantage. It is also rather difficult to find good board games that support up to 6 players (most cap out at 5), making this a great option for when you might have 3 couples playing together, etc. Jamaica is now going to be my “go to” game for introducing new players to board gaming or when there is a mixed experience level in the group. Highly recommend.

This is a fun pirate ship racing game. The move mechanic was a little difficult to learn at first. The game uses a combination of dice and cards to move. Once we got the hang of that, we were off to the races! Have played it with my partner with and without the “ghost” ship that is used in a 2-player game and with our game group of 5. It scales well. In fact, it’s probably best with more than 2 players.

One of the best board games of all time provided you have the expansion too. I just wish the character decks used standard size card because sleeving them is painful. The smaller treasure cards are definitely easier to sleeve with many options on the market. This revised version is great and has room for The Crew expansion in the new box. A must have for any tabletop/board game fan and collector.

It came in a good shape with no flaws whatsoever. If you know how the game plays and like it I recommend this seller I got it send to outside of the US in not a single scratch.

We are supposed to have 6 characters colours ; and we got only 3 😭, have no idea how to return the game
