Works very well
My first outing to make my own Ethernet cables and this tool worked very well. Although they only mention cat 6 in descriptions it was fine making up my cat 7 connectors. Great bit of kit.

Great Tool, Compact and Works Well
Works really well for RJ45 connectors - every connector I've put has tested well (keep in mind I'm a home guy, not a professional - so a dozen or so connectors not thousands). I like the wiring reminders printed on the tool and I like that it releases when a proper crimp has been made. The wire cutter and jacket stripper work well, but a little awkwardly (if I were a professional, I'd use a separate tool.) It's compact, so I can carry it around easily without need a bunch of extra tools. The packaging says it works with pass-through or regular connectors, but the instructions say it works only with pass through. I don't have a regular connectors so I can't test it - although I don't see why it wouldn't work. I wish the wiring instructions were better for us occasional users.
