Saved me hundreds and hundreds of dollars
Bought a used 2016 Volvo xc60 for my daughters first car. We quickly realized that the battery was draining 30-40% just by sitting for one day. The used car dealer replaced with a fresh battery... But the issue persisted. My daughter had already fallen in love with the car... So returning it was out of the question. I thought I could figure it out myself. Spent hours searching how to find battery drain issues. Hours using a multimeter and testing all the fuses. Nothing... Nothing showing power draw. It didn't make sense. Two different mechanics told me this is hard to diagnose and they would charge me $220/hr... That they could spend up to 3 hours and still not find the issue. The thought of spending $600+ to look for an issue on a car that was worth 9k was mind boggling to me. So I bought a battery maintainer and just kept charging the battery for months. But the battery was getting weaker from the repeated large drops in charge. I thought I'm either going to have to pay a mechanic or replace with a fresh battery every 9-12 months. Then I found out that these cars had an issue with the SiriusXM module draining the battery while it's parked. The solution was to pay Volvo $200 for a software update or to bypass the module is this fiber optic bypass loop. 30 mins and $10 later .. the battery charges from the alternator while driving and holds it charge over night!!! Wow! Problem solved .. saved 200-660 dollars easily! I'm so happy.

A cheap diagnostic tool and a must have if your Audi or VW uses an optical linked system.
After a week of rain my 06 Audi A6 MMI just quit. Dead. Zippo. Checked all fuses, they were all OK. Held down reset buttons, nothing. Complete PC boards were available on Ebay but the entire center console needed to be yanked out , OY!! I was almost ready to take the car to the dealer but @ $235 an hour though that there must be another answer. Reading posts I discovered that the MMI modules are linked together with optical cables and if one of the modules (there are a few) craps out, nothing will work. So I ordered this, and it came the next day. The first module I worked on was the Satellite Radio module. I easily removed the optical cable from the module, snapped one of these connector cables in it's place, and the other optical cable on the end I removed from the Satellite Radio module. Lo and behold the MMI instantly came back on line and is working fine.

not compatible w/ 06 Mercedes ML350
Product not compatible with 2006 Mercedes ML350 Motorola voice control module input connector or jacks. Need a more specific fitment chart, other than just Mercedes and BMW, etc.

This doesn't fit on the 4 series 2016+
I'm sure this would work perfectly with some other bmw model but it doesn't work with the 428i, in my car the fiber optics are combined in a same plug with 12 more pins for different options.

Going to try this one more time
It worked for three days and stopped working. I'm going to try it one more time. If it stops again I'll build one myself. Either way I'll update my review to show if it's worth buying or not. Update: the second time didn't work but it's no fault of this.
