from the horseshoe fork mount it's 3.5" out to the front, and 9.5 out the back

How does this compare to the syncros trail 2 fender 36? they look similar. is there a fox orange option?

Not sure how it compares, theres a Orange decal that comes with it.

Will this fit 29" x 2.6 wheel?

My 29 x 2.5 assegai is as big as i would go just to allow enough clearance for stuff to get out / not rub is a little mud gets stuck in there... That being said i think it would fit, just likely tight. each tire mfg rates their width differently and the actual volume with tread is always wonky.
