Terrible quality adapter! Avoid at all costs!
The saying of "you get what you pay for" was made with products like these in mind... The moment I plugged the adapter into the USB port, it literally fell apart! Like in bits and pieces! I tried reassembling it back again and the moment I plugged it into the port, it again fell apart into different pieces. I tried to reinforce it with tape and when I plugged it a third time with the tape holding it together, the USB male connector retracted into its casing! I tried one last time, this time taping the base of the connector to the plastic casing and it finally worked. However, when I plugged in my PS2 device at the back, the board of the converter bent like crazy from the area where the USB connector is attached to the board! I chose this adapter because it was much cheaper than others, but I learned my lesson the hard way! Save your money and heartache, stay away from this terrible product, and buy something better... Another trash product from Amazon due to the lack of quality control...

Because of the negative reviews on many similar products, I was rather skeptical on trying out one and because I have a Microsft Ergonomic keyboard that I purchased last year (this is true!), I needed a PS2 to USB converter. When I hooked up the keyboard using DGZZI device, it didn't respond initially. I checked the USB terminal and realized that the USB connector is a bit loose so I wiggles the USB connector to fit better and the keyboard came on. I opened up Word to test the keyboard and all is go! This solved the connection need for my keyboard. This is a very inexpensive way to resolve the PS2 to USB connection issue. This is connected to Windows 10.

This inexpensive adapter is a lifesaver. I recently upgraded to a self-built AMD Ryzen desktop PC. Unfortunately, modern motherboards seem to universally shun PS2 mouse and keyboard ports. That made me fear my legacy heavy-duty IBM keyboard would finally have to be retired. Enter this device. Be sure to check the icons to ensure you are plugging your mouse or keyboard into the appropriate port (it supports both). Also be sure to READ THE DIRECTIONS. Keyboards are NOT hot swappable, so you need to reboot your system before a PS2 keyboard will be recognized. The adapter works perfectly for me in Windows 10. All keys work normally, and I've seen zero anomalies of any kind. Hang on to those sturdy old keyboards. There's still plenty of life in them.

This costs way less than the $50+ adapters out there and works with my IBM Model M keyboard, tested on Windows 98, 7 and 10. You do have to get into Windows first to install the drivers, but it's automatic with nothing external to download. I have had occasional issues on Windows 98 trying to get into the BIOS before Windows has loaded, but it generally works.

Tried this with a centos 7 Linux system. This worked when a different product did not. Only down side is that the ports aren’t color coded so you have to pay attention to the embossed labels… these are pretty hard to see. Otherwise no complaints.

Unfortunately, this product did not work to allow my older IBM KB-8923 keyboard with a PS2 connector to work with a new ASUS Prime Z690A MB. I was warned this might not work in some of the reviews and I add this notice for people who might be using the same MB board that I am.
