Can walnut oil be used with water mixable oils?

I have researched water mixable oil paint and yes, this product can be used with great success. Several reviewers have commented how well the walnut oil works with their water mixable oil paints. Hope this helps.

Is this walnut oil mixed with walnut alkyd?

Alkyd walnut oil is a separate product - available in the same sizes as the traditional Walnut Oil.

Can this be used to dilute water soluble oil paint for thin layers?

Walnut oil will thin oil paints, but of course not acrylic. Linseed oil is available at Loews and Home Depot, works just as well and is considerably cheaper. Also you can use turpentine with oil paint, but with the walnut and linseed the consistency can easily be controlled.
