I used to have algae problem. So I started using this product every other day and now all my algae problem went away. It really works. But warning, my vallisnaria plants don’t like it, they all died. But it didn’t affect my other plants, they all thriving. Once my small bottle was finished I ordered this bigger bottle to have more for a better price.

Excel works well in keeping algae in check if your water parameters are already good. It will make iron in your water much more usable for your plants. So, if your substrate does not contain iron, then your plants much get their iron from the water. Excel will insure that the iron is usable from the water column.

Been using this product for 20+ years, its great for supplementing CO2 injection or dealing with black beard algae. Never hurts my fish or snails. Good quality as always. Super easy to use. Lasts forever.

I did a bunch of research before buying this product, and i am not let down. My plants are doing great. I still have black beard algae so i cant say much about it being an algaecide. I don't follow the directions either, i dose 3x the amount for my tank every day and have had no adverse reactions. I have shrimp and vallisneria and they both thriving.

Works great taking care of algae and black moss. I use it from time to time to control algae in my 180 and 5 gallon tanks.
