I have used Traumeel historically for many things, including inflammation and brusing that occurs during martial arts competition and training. Both the tablets and cream are extremely effective, particularly (in my experience) when dealing with nasty bruises and contusions. I've had an even more miraculous experience with this product recently, however, and it's what's driven me to review it. My 45# dog had a femoral head ostectomy surgery done. This is a pretty invasive surgery (at least by my definition!). She was put on NSAIDs by the vet, which seemed to help for the first two weeks (she was one hurting puppy if you missed a dose!), though she still moaned in her sleep. However, part way into the third week, she started having bad reactions to the NSAID (waking me up 15x/night to go to the bathroom, when she usually doesn't at all, diarrhea, drinking like a racehorse, incoordination). With a little research, I realized they were side effects from the NSAID, and stopped it. She started feeling better, but what could I do for the inflammation & joint pain? I'd seen a reference to someone using Traumeel for their dog after this surgery, so I ordered some up. I saw an OVERNIGHT difference in my dog's pain and discomfort. She's healing way faster than other dogs who I've seen have this surgery, and seems to have had minimal discomfort since I began giving it to her. Her pain and inflammation has decreased so much I have to watch out for her, and make sure she doesn't do silly things like leap off a 3' high porch, because she feels so good she isn't self-inhibiting as much as I feel she ought to. What a fantastic problem to have! I dosed her with 1 tablet in the AM, 2 in the PM (my thought process was less support during the day to keep her from overdoing it, and more support at night to help her sleep). She's happy and healing, I'm happy and not penniless (this is way less expensive than many available NSAIDs!) I'm not a vet, and won't recommend what you should/shouldn't do for your dog in his/her situation, but I will tell you this worked for me and mine!

Beats Sprouts pricing. These were recommended by Vet for dog to reduce inflammation. Dogs takes them morning and night for pain and to prevent further deterioration. Wish they had bigger bottles or more bottles at better wholesale pricing.

A doctor told me to put two tablets in the lid and pop them in my mouth to dissolve under my tongue. She said not to touch them but couldn't give a reason why when I asked. But, who cares when THEY WORK and provide pain relief.

Good product for people with pain from inflammation

Works ok for my pain yet the lotion on my knees is much better...I give the lotion 5 stars. Remember each person is different the pills could work for you.

Our Chow Chow dog is 12 with severe osteoarthritis, this was recommended by his vet. Within a few weeks it made an amazing difference! Really did have my doubts buy he has gone from a barely walking dog to one that can now go for short walks without pain.
