We purchased this for our recent trip to Hawaii with our 8 month old son who is around 28" long and 24lbs and this was his first time in a pool/ocean. The item comes in a round travel vinyl zip up holder that is about 10" across and 2-3" thick after you re-pack it the first time. When it is blown up it measures 38" long and about 28" wide in a oval shape like the picture. the seat has a mini-headrest in it and the way your baby sits is in a natural seated with a slight recline posture. The float then provides his body from the mid-chest up to sit out of the water and our son both reclined and pulled himself forward with no issues of him putting his head in the water. In addition, the float is large enough to protect against him tipping over and is very steady. The canopy can either be attached or not very easily by three buttons on both sides and while my boy tried to undue them he was unable so again it is made very well. There is also the option to pull the canopy back a bit and connect it to the back so it sits like a shell above vs. a roof canopy and you can easily make that adjustment while you are in the pool. My wife and I thought this was a great float to use on vacation as our son was protected from the sun, protected from tipping over or dropping his head in the water and you can either pull/push him around and have fun. We also appreciated the seat/mesh set-up that drops his legs and secures them easily under the device so he cannot wiggle out. It is a great item for a 6 month to 2 year old in our opinions and will suggest our friends get them also! **Plan on needing about 10" by 3" deep in your luggage if you travel with it as once you get it out it is a little challenging to get back in the package but the instructions were very easy.

We bought this float for a recent beach trip & for summer use for my 17 month old. It was easy to inflate/deflate- went back in its carrying case with ease. My baby loved it & it gave me a sense of peace in the pool knowing he was able to sit up & safely enjoy the water! I especially loved the canopy to keep the sun off of him! 10/10 recommend! Great price for amazing quality!

I ordered this when Amazon had a sale but unfortunately I received a damaged product. There was a tear in the outer fabric that I knew would allow the float to become waterlogged so I returned it. Unfortunately I needed it right away and I couldn't wait for another order (and risk another dud), so I bought one at a box store with a gift card instead. Review of the float itself (that I bought elsewhere): it really is a very nice float for swimming with baby. I was debating between this one and the Intex My Baby Float and I'm really glad I got this one, mainly because of the sun canopy. It makes a huge difference in protecting baby from the sun, especially when the sun glasses or hat gets pulled off and chewed on. ;) I also like the low profile of the spring float and that I can swim it around with baby inside - it's just enough support to make it easier for me to keep afloat without sinking it. I didn't bother spending the extra money on one that comes with toys because I can just give baby a rubber duck or any floating toy and the mesh layer between the rings of air will keep toys in reach. Baby was 11 months old when I got it and loved it for a month, but now wants more independence and me to hold her in the water (wearing a life jacket) so she can splash around more. The way the leg holes are forward in the mesh seat causes baby to recline in it, which is probably a safety feature, but it would be nice if there was an option to adjust it so a more independent baby can sit up more and splash their hands in the water between the air rings. I can make this happen by leaning on the front of the float and helping baby lean forward, but she slides back again when I let go. The life jacket with flotation only in the front (again, a safety feature) also contributes to the reclining effect, however, so it's not just the float design. I would definitely use this again with the next baby, probably starting even younger if the weather permits. Love this floatie so much. We’ve bought the inflatable ones before for our oldest but it’s so much work. This only have 2 sections to play up and they’re fairly less compare to the ones. I also love that it comes in a bag that you can throw it back in afterwards. I would totally recommend this over the other ones. Works well in pool! And the shade helps so much. My son loved it.

Works perfect. My son was so cute in it. Highly recommend for babies in the pool. Just don’t leave them unattended cause it’s easy for them to flip out of it if they’re wiggly.

I was very impressed when I opened this floatie! It is made of a heavy duty fabric and had two inflation chambers for extra reliability and safety. My kids loved it while we were on vacation (I shipped it directly to our destination) and at the end of the trip, it folded down into it's included carrying case and fit right into our suitcase. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and will be buying another one for our other child! Some additional details: I have an 11 month old who was the primary user of this product, but my 3 year old enjoyed it too (she is just about too large for it). I was expecting a cheap vinyl product which would get hot in the sun and be easy to puncture - that is not at all what I received. I was very impressed with the durability and construction of this float. The sunshade was a good size and can be set to one of three positions (straight up, angled to the front, or angled to the back). The mesh "seat" is probably the weak point of this floatie. We haven't had any problems yet, but I expect that eventually the stitching will fail or the mesh will rip. Just make sure you inspect it each time before you place your baby in the water. The color I received was blue with yellow trim - very attractive. Overall, I love this product and highly recommend it!

Baby absolutely loves floating and swimming while using this. The shade has 2 setting depending on where the sun is. Adults tell us they want one for themselves. Great purchase!

We used this while travelling to Mexico. It was easy to blow up and use in the pool. These things are always a bit tricky to fold away but after a few practice tries we got it in no problem. Our baby is about 20 pounds and she did sit a bit low in the mesh but I used a hair elastic to tie and shorter her seat and it was perfect. Would probably only recommend for babies that can support themselves and sit up on their own. Great protection from the sun and lots of fun in the pool!!

This is a fantastic floaty for babies. Super easy to blow up, extremely sturdy and easy to pack up. My baby can lounge back or sit up straight. She loves it and although I am always right there with my baby, I don’t have any fears of this tipping over! Would recommend

I was looking to buys something safe and sun protected float for my 4.5 month old daughter and came across this Swimways Baby Spring float Sun canopy that had good reviews so i thought i will go for it despite that it was a bit pricy as everything else in the market wasnt good enough for little babies and had no sun protection. It is worth every penny i paid for it! First of all, quality is outstanding - it looks expensive and sturdy, second - it is small when packaged hence convenient to take with you on holidays, third, has a perfect UV protected canopy that baby hides under so i have a piece of mind when we are swimming last but not least my daughter absolutely loves it and she is safe in there too! Will ve using it for the rest of our holidays and for many years to come too
