Hey, it's Comply for your IEM so no unexpected surprises except shear sonic bliss!
I know I know, there are skeptics out there, but then there are skeptics for just about everything these days. But let me assure you; if you listen to music a lot like me and prefer IEM to completely zone you out then these Comply ear tips won't disappoint. What do I mean? Well, I recently picked up a new IEM called Etymotic ER4XR aka 'deep insertion IEM'. For those that are into high resolution digital music, that name may sound familiar. For those that aren't, let's just say it is a flagship in-ear monitor hence IEM from a hearing research company that started back in early 1980's. Okay, I won't bore you with history so let's get into the review. These ear tips, the way to properly use it, you will first squish them into a nice tight bunch using your thumb and your index finger with rolling motion until it's very narrow (2 to1?). For those that use foam ear plugs probably will be able to visualize what I am describing. Then you insert them into your ear canal in parallel but DO NOT shove it down all the way forcefully. It's important to leave some room when you start to feel resistance. Then hold it for about 20-45 seconds until it had the chance to expand into the shape of your ear canal completely sealing the passage then let go. That's it! It will provide hours of musical enjoyment by transporting you to where ever the artist wants to take you. You will thank me later and the comfort is absolutely magnificent; essentially you will hardly noticer that it's even there. Kind of redundant to say that it essentially blocks out all ambient noise just like a good neon colored 3M ear plugs so be careful when using it when you are about in public with them inserted. Any kind of music genre, using a good source and IEM, you will be blown away as to the clarity, detail, and the richness that these Comply ear tips will unlock. Sort of like a drip coffee maker versus a percolator coffee maker, mmmmm.

Very good fit...really blocks noise.
I had read reviews where users were dissatisfied with inserting these tips into their ear; didn't get a good fit. It was said the foam would expand before the user could insert the tip into their ear. So I was skeptical... I bought these for my Clarity Aloft aviation headset...ran out of the ones Clarity Aloft provided. I must say these fit PERFECTLY and I found it VERY easy to "squish" them and insert them into my ear canal; the foam expanded slowly after inserting it into my ear. The seal is VERY good and blocked out a large portion of the cockpit noise...as good or better than what Clarity Aloft had provided. I would highly recommend these if you need a replacement.

Rereview: Sure works good on Shures
I had originally bought a pair for my Etymotic ER3SEs way back when (Before the cable broke), and the set I got must've been very badly damaged from the start. Cut to now, I still haven't bought a replacement Etymotic cable, and instead got a second opinion in the narrow nozzle IEM space, the Shure SE215. These are a shallower fit, yet still have that excellent narrow nozzle that allows the IEMs to vanish in my ears. With a pair of large P-Series, they actually have really good comfort and isolation. Beyond that, the durability was definitely better this time. Still going to bin them instead of washing them (Even as the site describes, since that's a fool's errand), but my opinion has changed.

These are Small size
The product description does NOT indicate size. As others have mentioned these are the Small size. Five stars for the Comply tips, but not for Amazon being unclear about the size -- although I did get a refund. I wound up getting the right size from the Comply web site as Amazon didn't sell Medium last year. Comply of course has all sizes and colors but their site is hard to navigate and the prices are higher than Amazon (plus shipping is additional). If you want Medium/Standard P-Series Amazon now sells them in Black Comply P Series Foam Tips (Black) 3-Pair Pack, Medium . These P-Series replacements are for the NR-10 and NR-10i earphones. Do not get the Comply T-Series tips for these earphones as they absolutely will not fit as I found out in a second attempt for replacements. The T-Series hole is way too big for the tiny NR-10 stem. NOTE -- You must UNSCREW the foam tip to remove it from the headset stem (turn it counterclockwise, like unscrewing a cap off a jar). The stem has threads on it. If you try to pull or wiggle the foam off you risk breaking the stem. I find the tips last about 2-4 months of daily use. They are an earwax magnet so I tried to clean them with rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol. DON'T! The alcohol immediately dissolved the wax-like binder in the foam and it expanded to about 1.5 times its initial size. Without the binder the foam would not stay compressed at all. It was impossible to roll it to fit in the ear canal. These are the most comfortable earbuds I've ever used and they block out noise extremely well. I wear them for many hours at a time driving across country and on long flights. The Comply is so "compliant" that I don't even notice wearing them.

Doesn't fit anything
Hot garbage. The holes are about 1mm in width, making them useless for all three pairs of earphones I own. I thought one fit until I noticed the rubber liner tore and also separated from the foam. What a waste.

Works with Elgin Discord.
I ordered these for my work approved Elgin Discord "Amazon" and they work! The original "orange" ones got dirty within a week. If your going to order this, the original size that comes with the Elgin's are sized Large. If they're too big order them smaller. Pros: - Good Quality - Comfortable - They cancel noise very well! Too well perhaps... I started using it for the shooting range - Since the ports are bigger they increase the volume of the music, perfect for "Volume limiting work earbuds" - The color! Even though in time it does get dirty you wont really be able to see it. Cons: My only Con is that, the Memory Foam takes a while to form in its original shape. When I installed it was flat for about 20 Minutes. Definitely recommend these to others!

Great BUT...
This product is very good, and goes nicely with the Comply headphones, but even though they are expensive as it is, the thing gets even more expensive when, if you are not insanely careful, they'll last very little. The plastic cylinder inside and the foam itself get separated very easily, so while you may be able to clean the foam and re use the things for months, if you are not very careful, you might separate the two parts the same day you replaced your previous tip. I tried using super glue to fix the two patrts back together, didn't work, might work with another type of adhesive, although I'm pretty sure any kind of glue will mess with the foam. Confort's great, medium size fits perfectly. As a drummer, I really like using these for both studio and live applications, as they will block the outside sound well enough not to be harmful, while still letting you hear it.

Expensive but pretty darn good
I used these with my Shure SE215 earphones. They were a replacement for the Shure medium size foam tips which are great, but they needed adjustments after about 30 minutes. I chose these based on their similarity to the foam earplugs I use when sleeping. My earplugs are long and slender and block out my wife's snoring perfectly. Based on the similar dimensions, I figured these would provide that kind of isolation which the Shure tips could not equal. This is not a complaint of the the Shure tips. They work fine, but could be better. I had used Comply tips in the past for my bluetooth ear buds with great success as well so I was comfortable with purchasing these. Amazon sells these at the same price as the Comply web site, but shipping is much quicker so that made my choice of where to make the purchase easy. Ordered on Tuesday evening. They arrived Thursday morning. Pretty good for free shipping. On opening the package, I was able to confirm that these tips are indeed quite a bit longer than the Shure tips. I was able to install them fairly easily. It should be noted that the red silicone sleeve inside which is the actual interface between the tip and the earphone itself can become separated from the foam rendering the tips useless. I've never had this happen to me, but I know others have. Just be careful installing the tips. This is a good time also to make sure ear wax buildup is removed from the earphone canal. Once installed, roll the tip between thumb and finger until it is compressed to a long slender roll. While still compressed, insert the tip into the ear canal. Once inside keep firm pressure on the earphone until the foam expands and forms a good seal with the ear. These are pretty comfortable and block out all but the loudest noise. I use them on subway commutes and plane rides. A screaming baby could be sitting next to me and I wouldn't hear them. In fact, I've fallen asleep next to them with these things in my ears. 2 huge benefits to this type of tip. First, because all outside noise is blocked out, there is no need to turn up the volume, saving battery and your ears. Second, there is no sound leak. People around you won't hear your music (pet peeve of mine). It's rare in my experience for a replacement part to work better than the manufacturer's own replacement, but this just might be the best tips I've used for my Shure SE 215s. In fact, they make me love my earphones even more.
