I got these dumbbell handles so I could keep up my home workouts when the gym’s crowded or I don’t have time to go out. Right now I’ve got them loaded up with around 38–40 pounds and they hold the weight really well. Sometimes the collars loosen up a tiny bit if I set the weights down hard, but honestly, they stay tight way better than the Walmart brand I had before, which would loosen constantly. The build quality is excellent. They feel solid, and the grip is comfortable and has the classic knurled metal texture, so your hands don’t slip. The star-lock collars with the rubber trim are a big plus, keeping the plates from rattling or sliding around much. These handles have helped me get in quick, solid workouts at home, and I’d definitely recommend them for any home gym setup, small apartments, or if you just want an extra set for loose plates. Good investment, and I’d buy them again.

I have a decent pair of 14" solid spin locks but they became too small for the weights I was lifting. These are long enough to add the needed additional weight but short enough to not be awkward to use for bench and other exercises. These are great value for the money. They were polished, the spin locks work smoothly, no burrs or rough spots (other than the handles, of course!). Easy weight adjustment and useful for a variety of exercises. If these came with padded handles they would be perfect, but even without they are really, really good.

Just got these metal dumbbell bars in the mail. Remarkably good - very nice powder coat finish. The knurl feels very nice in hand. Star nuts are metal and very nice. Rubber washers are a nice touch. Highly recommended and I'll be buying more. Thx

Good value. I didn't notice and QA issues I saw noted else where. The rubber-plastic gaskets are loose on the bar and presume will wind up "sticking" once used. The ones in the spin-locks look okay other than what looks to me as a finish notch from where they possibly rip it off a sheet of them when the gasket is cast. So long as does not develop a tear, those look like will be okay for a while. Actually, whenever I've seen, had, used these in the past, they never had gaskets. I will guess is just not there - should not be an issue either - again, I say in supposition. These felt like they even had a light coat of oil which impressed me, if am correct in that - good for that on that OEM. And, they appear as cast, possibly not machined concerning the spin threads. The locks spun on/off super fast. And, since not a precision machine, glad they are spec'd loose enough that if a thread got dinged - would not stop use of the locks. If did, I'd just use a file on the bar - can't imagine the spin lock threads getting munged (how?). And, there's always the Spring-locks if had to. But, again, for normal use which with this stuff is *supposed to be careful use for your own safety - I can't imagine wearing them out. And I say that as a person, in their lifetime that has *worn out a rowing machine and parts of their BowFlex "Sport" from circa 2006 - rods, seat and other. A little bit of wax and oil, or some say spray grease (?) - for me general household oil of any kind, go a long way. I use the old "Butcher Block" wax for wood - it coats it and yet not "slick" - just protected. I don't want slippery stuff on Gym-gear, for me. So, if remain at this price point and how the whole experience went, then I can recommend it. Amazon makes it, for me, worry-free anyway, so, there's that too! It would be great to see an Amazon Basics version of this - if even not chromed for even greater affordability value. Otherwise, chrome is fancy and nice too!

I bought these for my daughter and she loves them The screw in clamps are so much better than I thought they'd been. I love them so much.

Has held up perfectly fine after a couple months of use. There are small rubberish coverings that I'm assuming are supposed to protect the inner piece from the actual weights, but that piece is useless and fell off pretty quickly. No harm done though
