The box I just received said Made in China.

Do the glass bowls' lids fit securely? Could these be used as a serving bowl?

Yes, absolutely. the lids fit securely, and I use them all the time for salad, pasta and rice dishes. They are very pretty on the table. It's also nice having the covers so you can store unused portions back in the fridge.

Are the galss bowls heavy, and could they be nested?
