I've bought this toner before for my simple little P1006 HP black and white printer, and this new one performs perfectly, just like the one I consumed. I would NEVER buy a "compatible" toner cartridge, especially since Amazon's prices beat the local HP store by a considerable amount. I just saw the price go down for a 2-pack of this same cartridge, so I ordered one of those for future use. HP web site (buried in technicalities) says that these black ink cartridges do NOT have an expiration date. Mine will be on the shelf for quite some time before I use it, just like previous HP black toner cartridges. When I printed the first sheet, using this new cartridge, the computer displayed a message saying "New Genuine HP Cartridge Has Been Installed." I suppose that means if I put a counterfeit cartridge in my printer, the HP software would not allow it to function in my HP printer. Still get excellent performance from this cartridge, even when they're two years old.

The black toner is perfect, we do a lot of printing, so its great to not have to purchase a new toner every month or so. 5 Stars. Whoever does your delivery (including your service), can't seem to read. We have a sign on the porch door, that says leave it on the porch. Since we know when its coming, we leave the door unlocked that morning. I kept checking the porch, looking out the door, nope not there. This time went to get the mail and could barely get the door open - package put against the door. The delivery of the package would not have taken any longer to reach up (one step up from sidewalk and there is the porch door), open the door and put it on the porch. Thankfully, no rain or no one swiped it. Sometimes they try to take it around back, we have the area blocked off. Once, someone just heaved a box of books over the gate we put up with a sign saying, put in on the porch - it was raining and the books were ruined (luckily, not Amazon order that time). But, it seems all delivery services (including yours) don't read signs, we have a neighbor with the same problem, so if that could be fixed that would be great. I would give delivery a negative number of stars if I could. Getting to the point that I am debating on making any more Amazon purchases. And, yes, we are home most of the time - health issues. So I know when its supposed to be here and I watch the door that day.

Very good with price

This is the toner that goes with one of my printers. Old laserjet P1005. I order new toner when I get the message on my computer that the toner only has so many pages left. When the toner runs out, I remove the cartridge and shake it back and forth. That usually gets me another two weeks. Then when it runs out I shake it again, and that gets me another week. I keep shaking the cartridge whenever it doesn't print (to redistribute remaining toner) until I absolutely get no printing, and then I replace it. I used to just remove it the first time it "ran out," but somewhere online I read that it is not really empty at that point. I am sure I have saved almost an entire cartridge by doing this. I am a composer. When I am writing, I go through a LOT of paper, and this printer is the one I use in my studio. I have probably had it for six years or more.....still prints great, and I have always used "original" toner.

Cannot go wrong with this being a HP OEM Cartridge! Call me silly lol.... I also own a color HP Printer I use only when I need a color printout. Both of my printers are classics and still going strong for 20 years now. Some common self maintenance required to lengthen the life of your printer. They do not make printers like the used to. It appears all manufacturers come out with new models on a average of every 9 months. My theory is, if it works do not change it.

The jury is still out for me. I purchased a new HP P1006 printer about 6 months ago for a great price ($80) at a local office supply chain store. I had decided to get rid of my HP ink jet printer due to the cost of the HP ink cartridges and the inconsistent quality of the more reasonably priced off-brand cartridges. I have been satisfied with the print quality of HP P1006 though I am not yet convinced about the printed page quantity claims made by HP for this printer and cartridge. My original HP cartridge ran "dry" after less than 800 pages - they claim 1500 pages for the expected life. I understand that what you print has a huge impact on the actual cartridge life expectancy. At this moment my average printed page (type density) must match HP's typical expectations since the projected number of pages remaining on the new cartridge summed with the pages I've already printed are on target for 1500 sheets. I'll update this review after the new data is in. Meanwhile, I hope to find a reliable, less expensive cartridge for this printer. I appreciate Amazon offering the name brand for a good price.

Purchased this ink for my HP Laser Jet Printer P10006. Fit into the printer perfectly and printed without any issues. Great customer services as well!

Bon rapport qualité /prix livraison un peu longue

I got this toner cartridge for my printer HP Laserjet P1006, it wasn't fitting in well with the printer, I realised there was some plastic bit sticking out, I just had to cut it out with a knife and it went in. Several times, I had printer cartridge error whenever I printed out something but it went away and probably will come back again but despite these minor issues, the printer cartridge has given me perfect results, prints perfectly in black and is worth the price I paid. I didn't want to buy a printer cartridge that cost me the same amount as I paid for the printer itself. That's why I give it 5 stars!
