This works perfectly - Nailed it on my first try!
I am a woodworker, but have had a few ideas to add some liquor and wine bottle shades to my lamps. I watched a few YouTube Videos and decided that cutting bottles didn't look to hard, AND I WAS RIGHT! You follow these super simple instructions, use the hot/cold water method and you will get great results right out of the box! I am so impressed by the value of his tool. Construction is perfectly adequate for someone who will only cut a few dozen bottles a month. My first project was for my wife, and I made her a cuttings vase where you turn the bottle neck upside down in the bottle base to root cuttings from your house plants. You will not be disappointed with this tool.

awesome tool, but takes practice
a little bit difficult to get the hang of so plan to use test bottles until you’re confident, but the project turned out perfectly and i get continuous compliments. for the next project i plan to get a nicer quality one, as this model is very basic and cheap parts, but this absolutely did the job for a simple project & would be perfect for someone who does not craft much or has not worked with glass before (as i had not).

Not happy
Maybe it's just me, but it could be that the instructions are not very clear, at least not the ones we received. It is not a very good cutter, because it etches the glass, but doesn't actually cut it, so when put in the water, as stated in instructions, the glass doesn't co.e apart. Any suggestions?

Too difficult to work with
I I can't believe the design of this product. Wing nuts on the back stop? You have to hold from the bottom while you turn the knob to tighten them. Very difficult to keep in line. And moving the wheels and the cutter are you kidding me? Square nuts but no slot for them to slide. Again you need to hold underneath while turning the screw. You call that a screwdriver who are you kidding? And setting up the cutter as soon as you release it it slides into the holder and you need a tool to get it out and try and hold it while you're turning the screw and holding a knob at the same time. It takes three hands. At least that screwdriver came in helpful for something. Totally do not recommend this product and am returning immediately.

I am Pleased
I will update this with a picture of video later. I have tried to cut a bottle with it. I was successful. It takes trial and error. The product itself is great as far as I'm concerned. I remember My Daddy telling me how to go easy and firm with a hand held glass cutter. He was a master carpenter, glass cutter and everything. I listened and cut my first glass bottle pretty good. It excited me. I'm looking forward to making some wind chimes with this little jewel. I've seen others putting the machine down, but I think it's the person using it. You need to give yourself time and put forth a good steady and firm hand. It's your skill that needs to be perfected, not the machine. Thank you for a good product to up my crafting.

Difficult to use.
It's difficult to get the cutter in the correct spot. It slips out of place before you can tighten it down. It worked ok for the first 4 bottles but the cutter isn't working right now. I've been using the cutting oil didn't extend the cutter as described.

Not really what you think you're getting
The adjustments are ridiculous, you need to take the whole thing apart with tiny nuts and washers, it's stupid. Then the tiny cutting bit never stays put, you can't get it tight enough then your cuts aren't straight. Then you get uneven breaks. See picture Don't waste your money. If I could I'd demand a refund. But they only have a customer "support" line.

Don't waste your money!
This is a very poorly made product, very time consuming to use with very little results! The makers of this should be ashamed to put this on the market!

Works ok, may crack does the job!
Did 10 bottles, works fine but may crack an alternative would be a wet ceramic saw with a thin glass blade. But that’s more than 40$!
