Aloha! the specifications say 24 vdc input, bit one picture says 12-48 vdc input. can i use this with a 48 vdc power supply?

A custmer review said the switch faild to work and course caused short circuit of power supply. Is this happen often?

Is this a poe output switch? what are it's power output capabilities?

NO.  It is not a POE switch.  It is meant for DIN Rail mounting and utilizing a +24V Din rail mounted power supply like the Meanwell MDR-60-24 or equivalent.  It has one UPLINK and four DOWNLINK ports.  The UPLINK is used to patch over (daisy-chain) to the next switch.

Can I fuse at 5amp for 24 volt nominal battery (what is the max/min fuse)?  Because it operates at 24v, that is the optimal input right?

The 5 ports switch has no exact max/min fuse current, actually it is closely related to voltage DC12~48V. It adjusts the current according to the voltage and devices, generally this current is relatively small. At the same time, it can also be used in currents above 0.3 amps when adaptor is 24V. If you have 24V 5A power supply, you can use it on switch. Both 12V and 24V power supply are ok
