RATTMMOTOR 2.2KW 220V Variable Frequency Drive VFD Inverter 3 Phase 2200W Frequency Converter CNC Inverter with 2m Extension Cable Adjustable for Spindle Motor Speed ​​Control

I have this linked up to a 80mm 220v 2.2kw spindle, for my CNC machine. This one was bought as a replacement as the original (different seller\website) overheated in under a year. However, the product does come with a 1 year warranty which they are honouring, but this involves sending it back to the factory in China, and upon receipt they will send out a replacement. I didn't have time to wait for this process, as I need my CNC machine to be functioning for my small business, as I am self employed and have orders waiting. So, while I will pursue this, I ordered on Amazon using Amazon Prime. It arrived the next day, and due to my previous one being the same, wiring and set up was easy. I had a sheet with the settings suitable for my spindle and machine, and the wiring already done with double shielded cable from an electrician the first time round, so re wiring, and setting up was easy. It allows me to run the spindle automatically using the g code to turn the spindle on or off, and set the RPM, via settings used in my CAD\CAM software. This means you can tuck the VFD neatly away, preferably somewhere visible, so you can see the screen, but it doesn't have to be somewhere completely accessible, as a lot of the manual functions aren't needed. If you did need these, it comes with an extension and housing for the screen, so you can pop it out, and attach it somewhere close to your control, but leave the VFD tucked neatly out of the way. So far I am pleased with the service, and speed of delivery. Time will tell whether I was unlucky first time around, or if there is a quality issue moving forward with this particular model. A lot of people use and recommend the HY (Huanyang) brand, as a good Chinese (where the market is swamped) entry level, reliable, cost effective VFD and spindle, and this includes established CNC companies like Masso, who offer wiring\set up instructions for their controllers for this particular VFD, so they must be doing something right. As I said, time will tell on whether I got unlucky or not first time round.
