I think this is supposed to help with the core? I'm not sure. I don't have the agonizing pain I normally get from sitting for long periods of time, but because there is more pressure applied to my butt, there is some numbing going on? Maybe this is something I have to acclimate to, or maybe I'm not supposed to sit on it for hours.Either way, it has held up for the whole day with my 180 lbs sitting on it and it hasn't deflated, so for me that works. I also don't have lower back pain today, so maybe this helped, it's hard to say.Also, I got this from Amazon Warehouse and it was already partially inflated...so um thanks whoever sent it back to Amazon!
