Great book!
Used the E-book version of this in school, liked it so I bought the paper version. Pretty much step by step with pics to help learn/train correct form.

Not Worth the Price
I just recently passed my NSCA-CPT exam and have been gathering different reading material (mostly through Human Kinetics) to educate myself further and help teach myself various exercises for the clients I will be training. I’m really not a fan of the layout of this book. I wish it gave more pictures for each exercise and wish they did the layout so the exercise/motion description was right next to the photos. Instead, you end having to flip back and forth between pages at times and the descriptions are really laid out in what looks like a powerpoint made by a high-schooler. I also purchased Strength Training Anatomy through Human Kinetics and personally think that book is much better quality (and much cheaper though it has less content overall). That book also provides an anatomical image alongside each exercise to illustrate the predominant muscle groups being targeted as well as other muscles assisting in the exercise. This book does not mention the specific muscle groups and only has the exercises classified by the main muscle area (e.g. legs, back). Just does not seem worth the $90 I paid. Around $40-50? Sure. But not $90. I’ll definitely use it as a resource but I am really disappointed in the NSCA with this one. Looks and feels kinda amateur and just not worth the price tag.
