I used this headlight restoration kit to clear up some light fog and yellowing on my car’s headlights before a long night drive — and I was really impressed by the results. My headlights weren’t severely oxidized, so I didn’t need to use the sanding discs. Just the first two steps (the included liquid cleaner and polish) were enough to noticeably brighten the lenses and improve visibility. That said, the kit does include sanding pads if your headlights need more intensive restoration, which makes it a well-rounded and affordable solution. The instructions were clear, the process was quick, and I didn’t need any special tools or skills to get a good result. I used this kit to restore some lightly oxidized headlights. The pictures with the tape are the headlights before using the kit. I used both the clarifying compound and sanding pads, but even without the sanding they cleared up very well. In my case, the clarifying compound removed about 90% of the oxidation and the sanding pads cleared up the last 10%. In my opinion, the clarifying compound could be used on its own for regular maintenance depending on how oxidized your headlights are. I really took my time with the buffing and sanding and probably spent an hour on each headlight. There is more than half of each bottle left after doing this. As long as you get more basecoat and lens sealing wipes, you could probably get 2-4 uses out of each kit. I'm very happy with how they turned out and would highly recommend this kit.

This is an honest review. This will not restore headlights to 100%. This will not restore headlights to 90%. I had medium to medium heavy oxidation. I achieved about a 75% to new results. Which is not bad and much better than what they were. I did however complete the entire process as described in the instructions about 3 times, using only towels and the provided materials with the kit. Overall abot 1 hours time. I do believe it's worth the money,we shall see how long it lasts. However it beats buying 200$ assemblies. But like "new" not even close. It will improve a daily driver or the appearance of a used car you are trying to sell for sure. Was I a little wowed, yes, but very little WOW factor and more of an ok,well that's for sure better. About a 70% improvement. Good enough for a daily driver for sure...but perfect, not even close. It is good product and worth the price. I highly recommend reserving judgement until applying the base coat and the sealing wipe,as they do actually make a big difference, however,there is nothing earth shattering here. It's a good value and a good product,but it's just that...it's just good,not great.

I had been dealing with cloudy, yellowed headlights on my 12 year old Honda for quite a while. I had wet sanded the lenses once before and used compound to polish them, but after only a few weeks they were getting yellow again. So, after reading some reviews I decided to try the Turtle Wax kit, and I am so happy that I did! This kit works and the results last! Everything you need is included and the instructions are clear. The wet sanding takes a while. Spend some extra time on the wet sanding steps, and the results you get will be dramatically better. The sanding pads and lubricant included in the kit are great. The polishing paste also works well and can be applied by hand. The key to long-lasting results is the primer/sealant though. It protects the plastic and has kept my headlights looking crystal clear. It's amazing how much clear headlights improve the look of an older car, and most importantly improve the safety of driving at night. If your headlights are yellowed/cloudy, get this kit!

Easy to use unfortunately lasting effect is not long, but looked good in the beginning. Would get another product next time.

I've tried a couple of other headlight restoration kits, including the one from 3M, and the results were "OK". Better than originally, but not great. I've also replaced headlight assemblies with new ones. That's a big pain. You have to remove the front bumper among other things. I saw a video review of the Turtle Wax 51768 Headlight Restorer Kit and decided to give it a try on a moderately cloudy pair of 2013 CRV headlights. I followed the directions - initial clean, 4 levels of finer grit, polish - and I'd say the results were 75% perfect. But then I wiped on the "Lens Base Coat Wipe." I don't know what's on it, but that took the headlights from uneven looking and foggy when you shone a light in the right direction, to 95%-100% as good as new. Something about the Lens Base Coat Wipe did it. And it STAYED perfect / near perfect through the next day. (Often, if you pour water over a cloudy headlight, the water fills in the "valleys" that create the cloudiness, but as soon as you dry off the headlight, it looks just as bad. Not the case with this Turtle Wax kit.) I recommend NOT bothering with other headlight restorer kits. My experience is that they're a lot of work with disappointing results. The Turtle Wax 51768 Headlight Restorer Kit made my old headlights look 95% to 100% perfect. Amazing!

I rarely comment and review products but this one although very skeptical the product worked as advertised in a short time of application for both headlights about total 30 minutes a distinct improvement. Great development product!
