I own other guides, and Smithsonian is laid out the best, and has the best and biggest color pictures. When your looking at the actual animal and need a reference, the big vivid picture comes in handy... Specializes in almost every Snake in the world, turtles frogs and most lizards... I am not a expert on how many different reptiles I'm sure this guide does not cover them all... This is a World guide not Local or North American.
