Question 1

Would you consider this drone better than the dji mavic mini?

Accepted Answer

Dear SGTKOOCH,

Thanks for your question. Let me briefly introduce the difference between Ruko F11GIM2 and DJI Mavic Mini. DJI is worth learning in many ways, and we strive to create more cost-effective drones.

1. In terms of weight, the Mavic Mini 249g, F11GIM2 weighs 560g, it is the flagship model suitable for aerial photography.
2. In video capture resolution, Mavic Mini is 2.7k, F11GIM2 is 4k UHD.
3. Mavic Mini 30 min flight time, F11GIM2 has 3 batteries, up to 84 min flight time.
4. Mavic Mini is a 3-axis gimbal, with 4-level wind resistance, F11GIM2 is a 2-axis mechanical gimbal+EIS anti-shake, with 6-level wind resistance.
5. The longest distance of the Mavic mini controlled by remote control is 2km, F11GIM2 can reach 3km.
6. In external storage, Mavic mini supports 32G, and F11GIM2 supports 128G.
7. Real-time image transmission quality: Mavic Mini is 720p/30fps, F11GIM2 is 4k/30fps.
At last, F11GIM2 supports GPS follow me, fixed-point surround, and multiple modes.

Question 2

What is the maximum flight range of the drone?

Accepted Answer

Dear customer,

Thanks for your inquiry. The maximum flight distance of the Ruko F11GIM2 drone is 3 kilometers. Within this distance, the drone can respond to the operation instructions of the remote controller, and the real-time picture will be displayed on the connected mobile phone.
Distance exceeds 2 kilometers, please pay attention to the wind speed to ensure safe return.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by buyer message or the way on the user manual.

Question 3

Why is my camera so flimsy when I removed the cap off the drone?

Accepted Answer

That's the "gim" part of the F11Gim. It's part of the gimbal design that helps take better pictures. Think of it as sort of a shock absorber; by allowing the camera to move as it does, it can self-level & counter some of the movement of the drone. But you're right, It does make the camera feel incredibly flimsy (I thought I had broken it the first time I took the cap off)

Question 4

Since there’s no collision avoidance, how successful have you been flying this drone without crashing?

Accepted Answer

It's such a stable drone once you have gps lock it will stop almost immediately and react as quick as you do on the controls. YOU are its obstacle avoidance as with almost all drones. If you don't feel coordinated enough yet then start with a cheaper drone to learn the feel of them then buy this one to appreciate the difference and picture quality.
