The tubular steel handle is riveted to the blade and is designed to be used with a 25mm (1in) extension pole. The blade tip is extended into a hook which prevents the blade from slipping out of the kerf during work. A striking knife is attached to the blade and handle which is used for cutting through the bark and the surface wood on the underside of the branch prior to cutting. We no longer carry their items. So I'm not sure if they are made in Europe where the original mfr used to be 30 years ago. Or if they have some items made in China. I'm sorry we are not sure anymore. **Q: Will this saw screw onto a standard threaded pole used for brooms, mops, etc.** A: No it will not screw in. However, I saw a man who drilled hole, example mop, and put bolt through saw and pole. Option B) I used duck tape on saw and example mop.
