Barge All Purpose Cement Quart (O22721)

This stuff is great for foam. Let it tack up on both sides for a few minutes, then press it together. Don't breathe the fumes. Well ventilated areas only. I've used it for costumes and puppets and all sorts of crazy projects. Parental supervision is a must.

I’ve used Barge All Purpose Cement for several DIY projects, including shoe repairs, costume construction, and bonding leather to rubber — and it’s been excellent every time. The bond is incredibly strong and long-lasting. Once it cures, it holds up really well, even under stress and movement. The application is easy with the included brush inside the lid, and a little goes a long way. Just make sure to follow the directions for best results — applying to both surfaces, letting it tack up, then pressing together. It dries quickly and creates a flexible, professional-looking finish. This is great stuff. You have to apply it correctly (to both surfaces and let it dry a bit before joining them, and then hammer the seam), but it is great. I use it for joining leather in bagpipe bags and it results in truly air-tight bags. The leather itself will tear before the glue separates. I rivet the bags I make to prevent the leather tearing, but it is the cement that makes the seam. The built-in brush is worthless for anything but the crudest of jobs and I would recommend breaking it off because it just tends to create a mess. Note that you will want to get some of the solvent for it because this stuff is impossible to clean up without the solvent. In addition, if you are not going to use it all quickly, you will need the solvent to top it off when it starts to harden in the can. Also, use it in a well-ventilated area or outdoors. Toluene is not something you want to mess with in a confined space.

I love this stuff and as a leatherworker found it very difficult to find something as strong as Barge, there this much out there that can compare, Barge is great.

Barge cement is better than fantastic. I have purchased this from shoe repair suppliers for 50 years. Now I just purchased it on Amazon. Much easier and it comes to my door.

it is what is described. Prove quality glue for leather work and general purpose glueing. Will last a while, come with its own applicator brush.
