Farnam Equitrol II Feed-Through Fly Control for Horses, Highly Palatable Feed Additive, 10 Pound Bucket, 160 Day Supply for One Horse

We used this product the summer of 2022. The fly population was significantly decreased. Since there are neighboring pastures, flies still exist in our barn and pasture, but they have to fly farther to get there.Easy to give, we just mix a scoop into our horses evening grain. We don't use it over the winter, when it is too cold for flies to multiply.

I got this May 6 and stared our horses on it the same day. We have 5 horses and here in southeastern Arizona, flies were just starting to be a problem. I put each dose in a snack bag and they eat it out of my hand. They love the pellets. Flies, so far, are much less numerous than last year. I’ve just ordered 20 more pounds which should take us through August. Once the monsoon rains come, I’ll know if this stuff is really effective and will post an update.

Doing a great job at cutting down the flies. Have only been using this product for a couple of months there is a major decline in the number of flies on and around the horses. They don’t seem to mind the taste of it so I’m having no problems yes I would buy again and again and again!

We had a really bad fly season this year in Colorado. Our donkeys were constantly scratching, kicking, and rolling in the dirt. Even though we we cleaning their area every day, the flies kept coming. After about 2 weeks of giving them Farnam Equitrol II Fly Control we were finally able to get the flies under control. There were still some flies around, but there were significantly fewer than before.The donkeys love to eat the stuff. They like it so much that the fight each other for it! I hand feed them each about 3/4 of a scoop every day.We also purchased the Shoo Fly leggings since the flies were congregating on the tender part of their legs.I highly recommend using this product at the beginning of summer to keep the flies from getting out of hand.

This product really cuts down on the fly population. When I scoop poop, I really notice the difference in the amount of flies trying to breed on the manure from my horses. It is drastically reduced! I mix it with a small amount of grain I give my horses daily. They eat it up with no problem.Of course, you still need to practice good manure management (daily clean up, removing the manure from the horse area, etc.) to get the most effectiveness from this product.I have used this for 2 seasons now. Equitrol in now a mainstay of my manure management practices.

New miniature donkey owners and were clueless about fly control. We tried this and it works great.

I've been using it for over a week now. Not much of an improvement. I've upped the dosage to see if I can get it to actually cut down the number of stall flies.

This product is easy to use as I add it into the pony's normal feed. I find this works best when I start using it in the early spring and continue though out the spring, summer, and fall.
