I used this for an old chess set. It worked out great after adding a divider inside. The box is real wood and came perfectly sanded smooth. I applied a coat of mineral oil to look older and it turned out great. It would also make a nice gift box for any special presentation.

Great for the price. Only flaw was a half-drilled hole above the latch. I’ll have to fill it before staining. No biggie. Otherwise, well built.
