This is easy to use and the brush is working very nicely. Love it very much!

So like, basically I originally gave this a bad review on accident because I confused this with a different seller so hopefully this makes things better. My package arrived on time and has been a ton of fun experimenting with as I’m have never had to tackle using something that is both a brush and pen at the same time. I spent a couple minutes trying to figure out how it works and here’s what I’ve learned: 1. To get ink flowing you need to remove the red band that sits in the middle of it. To do so you’ll have to unscrew the brush cap. Now at first my instinct was “righty tighty, lefty loosy.” This has an opposite build to it so basically you unscrew the cap moving in the opposite direction. 2. Once you remove the red band simply reconnect the brush cap back to the ink handle and hold the pen upside down. What you’ll want to do now is start giving it a gentle squeeze up and down til you see ink flow into the clear chamber as it makes its way down towards the brush bristles. This step takes time and effort and might need to be repeated for ink to flow out properly. I typically do this for a couple of minutes and then stand the pen on its cap for a little bit til I’m sure the brush end is juiced up with ink. 3. Lastly, I just play around with it to my heart’s content and my mind’s curiosity. Now I will say it takes time get used to as it’s new to me and can’t be treated like an ordinary pen. That being said it starts feeling natural overtime. Bonus: I can refill this thing and theoretically have it last for years and years by buying a new ink cartridge once the original dries out. Overall a great product and I hope the seller forgives me for confusing them with another seller. Highly recommend and would buy again.

Never used one before recently. Takes a lot of getting used to if you aren't already used to controlling your pressure, but has honestly taught me more than I thought by just playing around with it. Every stroke: it's length, downward pressure, angle, and speed all factor into your line quality and it's been a fun experiment. The ink flows so well and I never had to worry about it. I was expecting a harder shaft to the pen, but after priming it, I understood why, and even applaud how it's made me change my grip on my tools. The visual design won't win any awards, but it does its job ~perfectly~ and that's all we can really ask for right? Shockingly light to hold and doesn't slide in the fingers as much as I expected. I'm going to buy more in varying sizes. I didn't think I would love it this much!

IF YOU HAVE JUST BOUGHT THIS PEN FOR THE FIRST TIME READ THIS!! TO UNSCREW the body of the pen from the brush by TWISTING CLOCKWISE (to the RIGHT) !! This is the OPPOSITE of the way 99% of all things in the world tighten and untighten. It took me two hours to discover this at which point I had nearly destroyed the pen trying to "Untighten" it. I finally used a pair of wire cutters to just cut the red ring off. Then I soaked the pen in hot water to "loosen" it up. Finally found a Youtube video of a review and the reviewer casually mentioned "oh, it unscrews the other way". This pen almost drove me mad. The review: After some use (I do line drawings, sketches, gesture drawing, foliage, people) I really like this pen for what it is. Good pen for the price and will be buying again. The barrel of the pen is the ink resevoir and it a very light, thin, and plyable plastic. It doesn't feel very sturdy in the hand but very 'squishy', this is necessary because you squeeze the barrel to advance more ink to the tip. But the pen doesn't have much 'hand feel' if you know what I mean. The tip: Able to lay down extremely fine lines as well as broad strokes and thicks and thins depending on angle of pen and how much pressure you apply. Very hard (almost impossible) to get a perfectly even, straight line with this pen because the brush can slide around under your hand. Very different feel that a traditional pen like a Pigma Micron. But this pen is excellent for quick sketches, gesture drawing, landscapes, etc. which is what I'm using it for. You can also do extremely fine work if you slow down and use care. One of the things I'm really enjoying about this pen is that it is both a very fast (good for big movements and sketching) as well as slow (small movements, finely detailed, crisp lines). The ink: Love this ink. Very black, opaque, doesn't feather, does bleed a little bit, and matte. As others have noted, to get a nice opaque line you really have to slow down, make sure the brush is loaded with ink by squeezing the resevoir, and take your time to get what you want. That's okay! This ink is absolutely not waterproof and takes several minutes to fully dry. So for watercolorists or anyone who wants to apply a wash over a drawing know that you will get lots of bleeding from the initial lines and it will muddy up your drawing. Although, because the ink isn't waterproof, it's easy to smudge the ink for shadows and to create depth. That's okay too! Just be aware of it and use this pens properties to your advantage. I would highly recommend this pen to anyone who likes pens, who like using pens, who likes drawing and making marks on paper with pens, who likes playing with ink, but remember, UNSCREW THE OPPOSITE WAY.

Don't listen to bad reviews. They didn't Remove THE RED BAND! LOL hahahaha!!!! This is a great pen! I have worked with brush pens for a very long time, I Have no issue with leaks, great price and very versatile. The weight is perfect. It's a good size and fits my medium sized hands. Copied a few Hokusai manga images, the pen works fantastic for this media and style. If you are getting leaks you are squeezing the pen too hard. Squeeze a little as the ink moves down into the brush you can see it, then squeeze a little more. The brush will reload with very little squeezing.

Things to remember if you've never owned this pen. 1) You have to turn it to the left to unscrew the cap. 2) You have to remove the red seal (after each use I unscrew the pen from the ink cartridge, rinse the nib, reattach the red seal and the ink cartridge and store the pen nib up). 3) I squeezed the ink cartridge gently over a piece of scrap paper to get it to flow, and then rescrewd it onto the nib section to get the ink to flow. 4) Remember, left turn to tighten the cap and right turn to loosen it. Yes, it seems backwards for us westerners but it's all good. 😊 I love how you can go from a thin delicate line to bolder and broader strokes. The ink flows nicely and it's a rich, deep black.

Initially, I was struggling to use the brush because I could not figure out how to open and use… However, a quick video search found the info needed… The brushes are very easy to use and fun. I would put myself in the “ hobbiest “ camp as i have just started taking art lessons ( fundamentals of drawing, etc. so I’m very basic level).,.

The ink leaks out while using if you aren't careful.

Stylo pinceau très fin référence Pentel FL2F. La cartouche d'encre noire est soluble à l'eau (water based) mais résiste très bien aux feutres à alcool. L'encre très fluide a tendance à migrer dans les fibres du papier. Pas évident d'encrer. Dommage car la résistance à l'alcool des feutres à alcool est très bonne. Si vous utilisez des techniques d'aquarelle vous serez en zone de confort, car c'est un bon complément pour les parties sombres mais sachez que l'eau va dissoudre l'encre. Pour une résistance à l'eau préférez le Pentel FP5F. Sinon ce style pinceau est adapté à la calligraphie, et à la peinture. Le débit du pinceau est bon, on peut avoir différents effets suivant la vitesse d'exécution, ou la pression exercée sur le pinceau (plus ou moins large).

Amazing pen. Helps with making different lines and is easily used. Ink flow and colour is brilliant and easy to clean.

Una volta presa la mano sono veramente fantastici... inizialmente si fa fatica a dosare la pressione e realizzare linee sottili ma con un po' di pratica si riesce a sfruttare bene il tratto variabile e i risultati sono ottimi. Ma quale scegliere tra la versione ad acqua e quella a pigmenti? Non ho trovato da nessuna parte confronti utili per cui vi posto le mie impressioni dopo averle provate entrambe. Prima di tutto: se vi serve per inchiostrare dei disegni da colorare a marker o acquarello naturalmente non ci sono dubbi, potete scegliere solo la versione a pigmenti, l'inchiostro di quella ad acqua non è adatto a questo uso e sbaverebbe. Ma se vi serve per disegni solo in inchiostro o per altri scopi come la scrittura orientale? Bhe, in questo caso avete il dubbio della scelta. Al primo approccio: - l'inchiostro a pigmenti risulta leggermente più scuro e coprente. E' più denso, e tende a colorare di più e a trapassare meno su fogli sottili - l'inchiostro ad acqua è più fluido. Su pennellate ampie si può notare una certa trasparenza. Se non si dosano bene le pennellate su fogli sottili può trapassare leggermente (non macchia, ma dall'altro lato si arriva a vedere una leggera ombra, più di quanto capita con la versione a pigmenti) La differenza principale l'ho notata dopo averli utilizzati però per tanto tempo. La versione a pigmenti tende ad asciugarsi più facilmente, capita spesso che non scriva e non è particolarmente comodo farla ripartire: premendo sul serbatoio l'inchiostro tende a fare le bolle alla base delle setole e non arriva alla punta. Spesso mi trovavo a far colare l'inchiostro su un foglio e utilizzare la chiazza per bagnare la punta e "far ripartire" il pennello come si deve. Al contrario la versione ad acqua è veramente molto più stabile. Usata tutti i giorni è sempre sufficientemente inchiostrata, grazie alla maggiore fluidità. Malgrado al primo utilizzo la versione a pigmenti fosse sembrata migliore in termini di risultato in poco tempo quella ad acqua la supera decisamente, per un uso continuo a differenza di quella a pigmenti il tratto rimane fluido come appena aperto per tutto l'utilizzo. Può essere anche una questione di preferenza personale o abilità nell'utilizzo, ma nel mio caso dopo aver utilizzato entrambe le versioni per un po' ho deciso che quella ad acqua era quella che faceva per me per i motivi che vi ho esposto... ah, c'è anche il tema delle ricariche: potete scegliere se acquistare le ricariche ufficiali che sono dei serbatoi sostitutivi che si montano in un attimo, così come si avvia il serbatoio iniziale. Ma è possibile anche ricaricare "a mano" con delle boccette di inchiostro di altro tipo: bhe, a meno che non lo vogliate fare per utilizzare degli inchiostri particolari con questo pennino ma solo per risparmiare sul costo delle ricariche francamente non ve lo consiglio... l'apertura del serbatoio per la ricarica non è proprio comodissimo e richiede di sporcarsi le mani e sporcare ovunque per riuscire a caricare l'inchiostro... guardate qualche video su youtube per capire cosa intendo, francamente visto il costo delle ricariche secondo me non vale la pena a meno che non consumiate un pennino al giorno.... spero che la mia esperienza vi sia stata utile!
