what's the actual diameter? looking to use this as a drain for composting worm farm

I installed in a ready made hole. So I didn’t have to drill out . A person might get a tape measure an measure hole in an existing igloo cooler. The oring fit should close . If need be experiment on piece of board.

My old plug is gone. New one has a white plastic washer and a black rubber gasket…on which side of the cooler wall does each go?

On mine they both go on the inside. The black rubber goes against the cooler wall, then the plastic washer against that, then the screw tightens everything up.

Someone said this has a 3/4" shaft ... would this fit the 3/4" wall of my cooler and still allow for the washers & nut and still tighten down to seal?
