I bought this pillow hoping it would help with my neck and shoulder pain. The quality is really good and it feels soft and very supportive. The memory foam shapes nicely and goes back to normal after use. For me, the pillow felt a little too thick. I usually like a lower and flatter pillow, so it did not feel very comfortable for how I sleep. I think this is just my personal preference and not a problem with the product. If you like a thicker pillow with more height, this one would be perfect. It gives strong support and keeps your head in place, especially for side sleepers. It also feels well made and holds its shape through the night. Even though it was not the best fit for me, I can tell it is a good pillow. I would recommend it to anyone who prefers a fuller and more supportive pillow.

I was so on the fence about buying this pillow because the reviews seem so mixed. First of all, I think a lot of the reviews are due to user error. This pillow is supposed to expand for 24-48 hours before use. I waited the full 48 hours and it was great. When I checked on it at the 24 hour mark, it was definitely firmer than the 48 hour mark. I know it’s hard not to use the pillow you’ve just bought because it’s exciting! But really, it’s for the best to follow the instructions and let it expand for the full amount of time. Secondly, I see a lot of complaints that it’s “not cooling”. News flash! No pillow can stay cold *all the time*! That technology does not exist and is currently impossible! It has holes for ventilation, your body gives off heat that transfers to the pillow. Thirdly, the pillow does vary in firmness based on temperature. If it’s warm it’s gonna be a bit softer, if it’s cold it’s gonna be a bit firmer. The reviews are very mixed with people saying “my head sinks down all the way, there’s nothing to it!” and “It’s so firm like a brick! My head doesn’t sink at all!” this confused the crap out of me before buying. I think all of the above factors are the reason for variation in the reviews. I’ll try to give my most unbiased perspective on it. It is firm, I would not call it a brick though. My head sinks about halfway into it. It provides support, but isn’t stiff. It’s not super soft, it does take a minute to sink into. It holds your head in place. I am a side and stomach sleeper and I find it comfortable. I cannot speak for back sleepers. It is very lightweight, but thick, wide, and takes up a decent amount of space. The cover is soft, but you should still put a pillowcase over it. If you don’t like a pillow on the firmer side, you probably won’t like this pillow. If you’re looking for something super soft and squishy, this pillow is not for you. If you are looking for a firm memory foam pillow that keeps you in place, has good neck support, and keeps it’s shape. This pillow is for you. Overall, I like it! I’ve been sleeping on it for a couple weeks and I think it has helped my neck a bit. I’ve been sleeping very soundly and I have no issues. It’s a great price for the quality if it’s what you’re looking for, go for it!

This pillow is a game-changer for sleep. The gel memory foam actually stays cool and has that perfect medium-firm feel where it supports your neck without feeling like a brick. It doesn't flatten out halfway through the night like cheaper pillows do. Whether you're on your back or your side, it keeps everything aligned so you don't wake up with a stiff neck. It's one of those rare cases where "hotel quality" isn't just a marketing buzzword—it actually feels like a high-end upgrade for the bed. Definitely worth it if you're tired of flimsy pillows that lose their shape.

This pillow is really comfortable and highly conforming to all the contours of your head and neck; it adapts completely to you, not the other way around (as many pillows force you to adapt to their inherent shape). And it only takes a few seconds for your head to sink into it, molding to you immediately. It maintains this shape and form all throughout the night; you won't wake-up a few hours later because the pillow changed its shape and form unexpectedly on you. What you feel after resting on it for the first few minutes is how it's going to feel until you wake-up. This is definitely NOT a "firm" pillow, by any means. It's in-between soft and medium-firm, but with really good support for your neck and shoulders (especially if you like to tuck the edge of your shoulder underneath the pillow to give added support/loft to your neck). This pillow does an excellent job of reducing pressure-points all around your head, neck and shoulders and doesn't keep your head up very high; you will sink in to the pillow by a couple of inches, with an inch or two underneath you for support and pressure relief. If you're looking for a firm pillow that keeps your head resting on top of the pillow surface, this is NOT your pillow... as with all memory foam material, you will sink, but the pillow doesn't "bottom out" on you and still offers decent support and "float". One point to mention is that I found this pillow works extremely well in conjunction with a memory foam topper or mattress. When I tried this particular pillow on a latex and traditional innerspring mattress, I didn't find the pillow quite as supportive as the added density of the non-memory foam mattress material seemed to cause this pillow to compress a bit more than I wanted (allowing my head to sink slightly deeper into the pillow when I could feel a slight bit of the top of the mattress underneath). So, if you're using this pillow on a dense/firm mattress, it may cause the pillow to compress a bit more than it would when placed on a softer memory foam mattress. I still felt the pillow performed very well on the hard mattresses, but it lost a small amount of its overall support and loft (allowing my head to sink just slightly lower into the pillow than I would have preferred). The included cover is very soft and durable and can be washed on a gentle cycle. I found it to be a great complement to the gel memory foam pillow itself and only added to the overall comfort and support this pillow provides. At around the $25 price-point, this pillow is an extremely good value, especially if you're looking for a slightly softer, plush material that adapts completely to you and allows you to sink modestly into it. I did not find this pillow to be hot at all, extremely cool and breathable, which is surprising given how much it envelopes and gently hugs you. Absolutely no harsh off-gassing or odd chemical smell of any kind, either... it is very clean and natural smelling, with a delightful tactile feel to it. Highly recommended to give this item a try, especially as a gift for friends or family; I've already purchased a second pillow for my loved one and she loves it too!

I bought this to try to eliminate a seemingly-permanent neck crick that is painful and persistent. Reviews seemed to indicate that it might help (I believe it was also recommended by NYT Wirecutter). I was looking for a pillow to hold my head up at a straight/neutral posture (I am a side-sleeper). Well, the feel of it is quite firm - even hard. This can be uncomfortable for my facial CPAP straps. However - it seems the warmth and weight of my head causes the pillow to flatten quite a bit as I lay there. I am constantly having to flip it over or turn it around to find a place that is still thick enough to hold my head up. Bottom line - it is a high-quality, well made pillow. But after four months of use, it has done nothing for my sore neck.

This pillow is such an amazing value! It's noticeably thicker and more firm than most standard pillows, yet it still manages to gently cradle my head for maximum comfort. I love how breathable it is...it never traps heat, so I stay cool all night. The pillow isn't heavy at all, and the feel is more like resting your head on top of a comfy cloud, not sinking into it. Good pillow, excellent firmness yet still soft. The thing that could be improved is that it has way too little gel incorporated in the foam. It looks more like they added some blue coloring. Other brands have a much much higher concentration of the cooling gel. So unfortunately this pillow is quite warm.

A bit on the stiff side for my liking, very difficult to judge until you buy it. It comes compressed so I left it out in open air to expand naturally as per the instructions. No weird smell as reported by others but may also be subjective, I tried it for a few nights but eventually opted for a different memory foam pillow brand.
