Versatile and Sturdy **UPDATED 02/22/19**
I've had my desk for only a few hours and LOVE it! I'd researched various portable tables for weeks before deciding to try this one and I am quite happy with my choice thus far. I purchased the yellow one. I would have preferred the red but this was the only color available when I purchased it. I thought the yellow would be quite bright and garish but the color is more like a burnished gold due to it being aluminium. So, this pleased me. I am not very mechanically inclined and it was super easy for me to adjust it in many different positions. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. However... I have no idea how to adjust the mouse pad on this model. This was not covered in the instructions. Also the USB cord for the fans was missing. From reading many prior reviews, this company appears to have a very good record of customer service so I am confident they will rectify this. It is surprisingly sturdy for being so light weight. I fractured my back in 3 places a couple months ago so I really needed something that would be quite versatile for varied use positions from sitting to lying in bed prone or propped. This more than fits the bill. Now, off to yet again attempt figure the mouse pad! EDIT: The company responded IMMEDIATELY to the issue of the missing USB cable AND explained how to adjust the mouse pad. ***UPDATE*** I have now had this desk for almost one full year. I use it EVERY day and it is still going strong! The built in cooling fan is phenomenal. If I needed another I would not hesitate to purchase this from this company again. If I ever have the need to purchase this as a gift I will be back.

I was skeptical about this unit because I've tried others like it, but this one is genuinely impressive with how light it is, while also being sturdy, functional and versatile. I specifically purchased it because I needed a small desk area for my bed and this thing delivered exactly what I was after. I can't recommend this thing higher and will be purchasing a second one here soon for the girlfriend who is now jealous and wants one!

It's okay, but I'm not excited about it.
It's a great concept, but it is difficult to adjust the tilt. I had to stand it on its side and brace it with my foot to adjust it. Depending how you're using it, it can be awkward. If using while sitting back on the couch, or recliner, you have to adjust each side differently. So if you have to get up and set it aside, it sits wonky. If you're simply using it on a table top, it can be adjusted evenly. I have not tried using it as a floor stand. We're taking a road trip soon, so perhaps I will test it again then. As for the rough metal edges, I can slightly feel it with my hands and you can hear it catch on the seat fabric, so do be careful when you move it.

Exactly what I wanted except for one thing
I looked for a long time to find a portable lap desk for my computer, and finally settled on this one. I wanted to be sure of its strength, size, and it's usability in terms of how flexible and functional it would be for various locations and uses. This desk fits the bill perfectly, and after using it for a couple of weeks now I couldn't be happier... except for one thing.... I wish it was a fair bit bigger. I own one of the largest laptops on the market (I think), a Lenovo Ideapad 320 with a 17.3" screen. Because my computer is on the large end of laptops, I can't use the flip-up feature that helps keep the computer from sliding off the bottom end of the top, and the side mousing area is virtually useless (as my computer is sitting on half of it). At the end of the day, I'd buy this desk again. It's strong, sturdy, reliable, and very adjustable. I just wish the surface area was bigger.

Stable: use every day
This is easy to line up because it gives the degree around the buttons so, as long as they're matched on each side, balance is good. It took me a little while to figure out the best and most comfortable couple of positions. The manufacturer sent a chart to show some favorites, but after I played with it a little while, I chose something more suited to me. I sit on the sofa and use my laptop for the majority of the day. At that level, I can adjust it so the tray holding my laptop is tilted (there's a lip that stops any sliding) and position the bottom with one leg towards me and the other in the opposite direction. This stabilizes it so that it doesn't tip forward or back. Plus, I have two cats so, if they walk under it, I don't have to worry about the whole thing coming down. The other position is on my lap. I haven't tried the fan since I have a chromebook that doesn't get hot. I've also used a regular laptop on it which does heat up a bit but I still didn't need the fan. I also haven't adjusted the mouse tray and I do have a mouse with a grip on the bottom so it doesn't slide because there is no lip to stop a cheaper mouse (minus the grips). One CAUTION (Sharp metal): the underside edging is sharp in some places so don't run your fingers along it.

So cute you could pinch it and it pinches you back!
Arrived on time and in good condition. I have looked for a while to find a decent laptop desk. After years of different shapes and styles, it seems this desk fits me fine. I just got it and have already used it in multiple locations at different heights and all the pieces lock as they should. Just figure the angle you need and push the button to move the leg... it is super quick to set up. Makes putting it under the bed, behind my chair or under the couch simple. To me the color seems a bit more orange than red like it looks in the ad, but I like the color. The fans keep the computer as cool as any of these type of fans do. For the price (got it for 50 bucks new) I can't say I have had any better desk. Only thing I would change is maybe make the entire thing from aluminum, including the joints, as I could see future issues with the plastic losing its shape/wearing out from use. Last little note, no big deal for me too much, but the tight tolerances between the aluminum on the mouse area can create a place that will pinch a hair or two from you.. I just covered the area with my mouse pad. Hair thief area shown in the pic.. if it posts.

Perfect Desk for your Easy Chair
This thing is perfect for working at home while in front of the television. Well built and adjusts for a perfect fit to your application. I honestly use this EVERY night when I get home for evening computer work. I have a Microsoft Surface which is small, so I don't use the fan but it does work.
