Excellent Upgrade
I love these Pure Tone output jacks - Iโve installed them on multiple guitars, and they make a big difference. They hold the cable jack much more securely, with a solid, stable connection every time. They fit perfectly in Firefly Les Pauls and are easy to wire in. Great quality, reliable performance, and well worth the upgrade.

This should be the industry standard. Even on cheap gear.
I just resurrected a 90's BC Rich Warlock Bass (Platinum) using this jack, and a new jack plate. The wiring was done terribly on the original, and the original jack was just a single point of contact, generic junker you see in basically all basses and guitars. This thing was easy to solder, fit perfectly in the pre-existing jack port route, and makes absolutely zero noise plugging in. The connection is tight, and secure, and pulling this out accidentally is going to be a challenge!! For such a small price, and such a massive improvement, these things should be the new 'standard' for your gear. Soldering is cheap and easy. This jack is cheap and easy, and superior. I will now be replacing all of my gear with this jack. Unreal.

Amazing and affordable
This is just a flat out great product and at a great price, I will be replacing all my output jacks eventually with this one, very secure wonโt come out accidentally and several points of contact instead of one.And easy to install

Great, but tight
Works and seems good quality. I will only say that the male jack is very tight in this female, so I might need to bend the springed contacts out a bit.

Works, easy to install if you have the skills
Replaced a jack in an old Peavey for my kiddo and works great. It's a basic jack, not much more to say about it other than it works!

Its a BIG jack
I bought this input jack to use in a 2008 ESP LTD EC-50 - its a Les Paul single-cut style guitar with the input jack opening flush to the side of the body. No question that it is a durable, quality input jack and I love the subtle transparent black color - this is the primary reason that I bought it. I did consider the quality aspect, but it was mostly the color that drew me to it since the guitar I bought it for is all black. It works pretty well too - it almost has like a double lock feel to it when you plug in the cable. It has a quality "grab" to it and requires some effort to plug in and unplug the cable, which is also what I would expect. I had/have two issues with this jack; Its REALLY big and bulky and just barely fits in the input jack cavity hole. In fact, I am still having an issue with a short of some sort if pressure is applied to one side of the input plug on the cable; like the jack is pressing against the cavity wall shielding. The other issue is that you will need to rough the surface of the soldering points for an optimal soldering experience. This thing is big and busy as you can see by the picture(s). I had to solder the hot and ground for the pickups and the hot and ground for a kill switch. Not only was it super tight space I had to work in between all the prongs of the input jack itself (outside of the body), but it was a nightmare getting the solder to weld to the surface based on an inability to solder to the bare metal connection points on the input jack. I had to scratch the whole thing up with a tiny flathead screw driver with a piece of sandpaper taped over the end of it. It was very frustrating. Overall, I am happy with it but if I'm being honest, its still the color that was the reason I bought it and worked with it as long as I did to make it work. Otherwise, I would have just used a Switchcraft or AllParts input jack. Input Jacks aren't magic...as long as they are not made with cheap, thin metal, the connection prong is not bent out of sorts and the solder work is adequate, pretty much anything will do. I'm not sure if I would buy it again or not (unless I needed one that is black, then I would for sure). It's reasonably priced and it is a quality part, but there are so many other options that I have used that are similarly priced and so much easier to work with.

Patience and extra nut required
Installed on a PRS, Epiphone Les Paul Modern, Fender Strat, Squier Classic Vibe Great idea - great product. My chief (only) complaint is that there is only one mounting nut for this jack. Two are needed to make a Les Paul or PRS look factory original and NOT have the threads sticking out 3/8" (as it does for a Fender Strat). Fortunately - Fender Strat input jack nuts fit this plug. The nut from a coaxial cable M2M adapter does as well. That being said, straight-forward installation. LP and Strat - easy peasy. PRS - make note that the hot and ground are opposite on their jack compared to others. Fender and Squier - the jack HAS to be installed with the threads sticking out -OR- you will need to do some woodworking to remove some wood for the jack to fit. I opted to have the threads all the way out (as shown in the picture). I didn't have to do this a Squier Classic Vibe as it did go deep enough but chose to keep it like its Fender counterpart. Installation is simple and this is a HIGHLY recommended mod to make sure that your guitar cable is securely attached to your guitar. Will it keep the cable from being pulled out if you accidentally step on it while moving? Probably...I am not extremely acrobatic while playing but it does hold the cable plug very tightly in the guitar A Great Upgrade!

The quality is worth the price!
True to its reputation, this Pure Tone output jack is a good looking well built TR 1/4โ mono female connector. The quality makes it well worth the price. When it comes to guitar connectors, there are a lot of inferior jacks out there. I donโt risk buying anything except this dual-contact Pure Tone or a single-contact Switchcraft Jack. The Pure Tone connector fits well in my PBass guitar. The jack is made from a hard nickel plated copper alloy, Because of its thickness, it takes a little more time to get the connection tabs hot enough to properly solder in the wires. I found a 30-watt soldering iron to be sufficient. The insulators were unaffected by the heat. I Verified the dimensions: Mounting Hole Diameter: fits 3/8โ hole Bushing Length: 3/8โ Thread Type: 3/8-32 US-Spec Width: Approximately 3/4โ Functionality; This Pure Tone Jack has dual spring loaded contacts for both the positive pole and the negative pole on the 1/4โ plug. It fits the plug nicely and holds it securely. As expected, it does take more force to plug and unplug it than a single-contact jack. Even so, with my bad arthritis, I can connect and disconnect my guitar cable from it without too much difficulty. If youโre thinking about upgrading to a dual-contact guitar jack, spend a little bit more and get these Pure Tone jacks. You wonโt be disappointed.

Excellent. Don't buy for Active Basses
I bought this thinking I could fit them in my bass guitars which have active preamps... they don't work in them. These are only for Passive instruments. Having said that, the build quality on these is amazing. If you have passive instruments, I highly recommend them.

Say Goodbye to Loose Guitar Output Jacks!!
These are amazing. Swapping out all my old, loose guitar outputs with these. I don't wire the extra contacts, just use them to hold the cable more secure and keep them from wearing out as fast. Makes for a SOLID connection. Highly recommend.
