After using this for a month I had to pop off the top mesh in my bathroom because the device was collecting hair like it’s designed to. I haven’t seen any drain flies pop up through my shower since installing this. And smell-wise no complaints as well. The only thing to note is it drains a bit slower but it’s not a bad trade off.

Product looked good several reviews so went ahead and purchased. Arrived and immediately saw problem with gasket it was not going to fit my drain. At this point I had already opened package and was suspicious of flow through device. I decided to verify flow holding under kitchen faucet and seamed ok. Decided to alter gasket to fit my standard Sioux Chief drain and install. At this point everything looked good seal was working after trimming. Turned on shower and within 10sec or less water was backing up maybe 1/2” in shower floor. This device would not handle flow from my shower and removed it. Before installing this device my drain flowed perfectly and was looking to prevent gases and smell from p trap. If you have low flow shower with different drain design than mine device may work for you, I will be returning with note about trimming gasket. Hope this helps you decide to purchase or not.

Water drains very slowly. Backs up to about one inch deep in shower but does drain and keeps smells out.

I had low expectations for this product. The smell of our walk in shower drain was absolutely putrid. Took a chance on this after seeing similar more expensive products. I have been pleasantly surprised. The water does not back up or flood the shower and the gas smell from the drain has completely dissipated. I’m sure it will get nasty over time, but that’s where having a second comes into play. Will definitely purchase again in the future.

This little gadget works like a charm. I'm not sure about durability, but if it cleans up as well as it stops shower drain odors, then it's a big winner. It came with no instructions; the product description video show how simple it is to assemble. It worked perfectly. Water drains as usual. I am so glad to have this.

Doesn’t work…

Easy to install with a little bit of silicone around the perimeter. Did the job nicely and now the sewer odour is completely gone. Excellent little solution for when the plumber neglects to install a P-Trap in the drain.
