Great fit for amateur weekend mechanics
This harness made it so easy to go to an aftermarket radio system. Recently I decided to install a Pioneer receiver in my 2005 Nissan Altima. All you do is connect these two connectors to the factory connectors in your car (they match one to one so do not worry about mismatching them), and just match color to color between wires coming off of these and your new after market radio harness. It's that simple. Note: Sometimes you might be left with an extra wire that doesn't match with any of the wires on your aftermarket radio which is okay. In my case I soldered all the wires together with heat shrink tubing just to be sure. That was my personal preference (have experience soldering and wasn't comfortable with crimping connectors on each and every wire as the gauge of the Metra was different from the Pioneer pig tail). Worked perfectly and the radio started function as desired the first time. Note: I was very impressed by the heavier gauge of the wires that came with these connectors compared to the ones that were on the Pioneer harness.

A must if you are installing car stereo
A must if you are installing car stereo. Makes wiring part easy. Don't cut cars original wiring use the adapter and plug it in. You still have to wire it to new car stereo. Usually just matching up wire colors and using butt spices and electrical tape (easy) or solder and shrink tubing (more difficult). I've used butt splices for car stereos numerous times without any problems.

Perfect fit for my needs, 1995 Maxima Bose to non-Bose conversion
There are no bells or whistles to this harness. This harness is actually two pieces, basically divided into one set for rear speakers and the other for forward speakers, with a few wires thrown in for other functions. You will need to get your own splices and crimpers (or solder if you want to go that route), and make sure you're familiar with your wiring setup since 1 or 2 pairs may need to be joined to a single wire on the radio harness side. So don't be upset when not every wire has an exact match on the radio harness side. I replaced the stock Bose head unit and speakers and used this harness to splice into the new radio harness. If you're keeping your Bose speakers/amp then you'll probably need a PAC harness interface. For those that complain about no ground wire, it's because it most certainly comes off the radio harness side, not this harness. Now the most important thing: Amazon is NOT an auto parts store meaning, do your own research through the manufacturer on what specific harness is needed for your vehicle, THEN purchase it on Amazon. It ticks me off that Amazon makes it seem like they know what fits what car, but it ticks me off even more that consumers don't research their needs then blame the vendor when something doesn't fit. For car audio applications crutchfield may be your biggest friend to find what you need, like rockauto is for car parts.

Great product
Purchased this for an aftermarket install in a 2003 Nissan Xterra SE 4X4, which had a factory premium Rockford fosgate with a subwoofer. I installed a double din pioneer head unit so my son could use his iPod and iPhone. This harness package was perfect for the job. I found this vehicle has a factory amp installed behind the original head unit. When installing, remember to attach the ground black wires from this aftermarket harness to the new head unit harness together instead of attaching the black ground wire to vehicle chassis like the directions say to do. Since the amp is already grounded you can attach the black grounds together. I did not splice the orange wires of this harness to anything because I did not want to splice into the vehicles main wiring harness just so the new head unit would dim when you dimmed the interior console lights. Match everything else color to color and you are golden.

Upgrade your old Nissan with a new radio
I wanted to put an older Alpine radio in my truck but didnโt want to hack up the factory wiring. For an older Nissan, this is exactly what you need. It did have a couple of extra wires that the truck didnโt have (the truck doesnโt have a factory amplifier or power antenna) and it was easy to remove them. Note, this harness does not have a ground wire; most older Nissans ground the radio through the bracket. I had to extend the radios ground wire and crimp a ring terminal on it and bolt it to the frame behind the radio. Works fine though.

Simple and easy installation necessity.
If you are looking to save a bunch of time testing wires, or just want to save your factory harness from being cut and soldered, buy this part for your stereo installation. I installed this harness on my 2001 Nissan Sentra. Connecting the stereo harness to this one took about 2 minutes with crimp-on connectors. From there it was a matter of plugging everything in. Wire colour code is provided on the packaging, and if I'm not mistaken, all colours matched with stereo wiring colours. Great product.
