Used several of these in the cool white -with timers- for above our kitchen cabinets (have a different type for under-cabinet lighting) & bought more -in the warm white- for our china & wine cabinets. I love how easy these are to install & how beautifully & subtly they light up any room. These are definitely far better than the rope lighting we used to have. Love that they're dimmable, user-friendly & very fairly priced!

This did not come with a power adapter. It says it in the title, and I overlooked it. Luckily I had one around the house, but I was hoping when it arrived it would be usb. Just make sure you really look at the details. It also doesn’t have a remote, it says it’s Dimmable but I don’t know how. I tried with other remotes that came with LED lights and such (they usually seem to be pretty universal), but it didn’t work. They are EXTREMELY bright (I ordered the warm white). It’s a really decent product. I appreciate that it comes with the stuff to hang it.

As the title suggests, this product is unusable as shipped. The way you attach this light strip to your desired surface is by screwing plastic brackets in place and then sliding the light strip into the plastic bracket which almost acts as a clamp to hold the light strip in place. However, the head of the screws provided by the manufacturer is slightly larger than the inner diameter of the plastic bracket. This means the bracket is being expanded slightly once the screw is in place. This defeats the purpose of the bracket as the light strip now slides freely in and out of the bracket with no resistance. This means you cannot stretch the light strip to eliminate waves from shipping and it means the light strip cannot be mounted in certain locations as the light strip just falls back out of the bracket. This is incredibly disappointing and makes the product unusable as it is just a light strip now with now means of attaching it to any kind of surface. I’m amazed that the manufacturer would ship this product with hardware that doesn’t seem to be intended to be used with the light strip.

The lights are better than regular leds but you have to buy super glue or something to stick them on since there is no adhesive

I've been creating LED neon-like signs for over two years now, and let me tell you - I've experimented with many different LED strips. However, these ones are undoubtedly superior to the others I've used so far. The main difference I noticed is the even diffusion of light. I had encountered an issue before where individual LEDs were visible, but that's not the case here. Moreover, these LED strips use colored LEDs with a plain white diffuser, which, in my opinion, greatly enhances color performance. They are slightly thicker (6mm) and a bit more robust, which isn't a problem at all. In fact, they're sturdier. I managed to twist the neon quite harshly without it breaking. I won't be purchasing any other LED strips for my projects. These are simply the best.

Nice light strip, diffuses light very well and its quite bright. The light strip gets quite warm towards the beginning of the strip and is colder towards the end, this indicates to me that the cable carrying the current is not thick enough. This is a major fire hazard. I even cut the light strip to around half length and the same problem occurs, although less so. The light strip does not require 12V, in fact this is the maximum voltage at which it consumes around 1.5A. The light strip comes on at around 6V very dim and consumes much less, around 0.5A. Use a voltage changer to adjust to your preferred brightness and safety level. The instructions say to not use a resistance based voltage divider. The Amazon description says suitable for temperatures between -350c and +200C but the instruction booklet says -25C to +55C (just like the "other products" example, how ironic!). The light strip doesn't clip into the included brackets, the light strip merely pushes into the brackets and you must hope that it stays there. In case of mounting to a ceiling, it falls out, you must use some other mounting method. There are not enough brackets for the whole 5m anyway. The included screws can be used combined with some small cable ties to securely mount the light strip to a ceiling.
