I bought this hoping not to ever need it but, hey, you never know. It is a good piece for the price. Came quick, well packaged. I only wished it came with a locking pin (which I added since) but not a big deal. I cannot say how it will hold up over time but overall I am happy with it.

I might be prematurely rating this a five star being that I have not used it yet, but it does seem as though it is a good quality. It fits great in my hitch. One little thing to note is that the bolt to the shackle is not as tight as what I personally would like it to be; meaning that if you plan to just put this on your vehicle and forget about it, well... You might want to periodically check to make sure the bolt is still screwed in so that it does not work its way out and you lose it on the road.

I bought one a few months back and have used it on about a dozen vehicle recoveries with no issues. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for my other truck.

You MUST have something like this for a safe recovery. PLEASE have something similar to tug a vehicle out! This product is perfect for that and safe providing you use it within it's limits.... YouTube videos of people using a regular receiver hitch. People get hurt. This is the safest option for a half ton truck. Do your own research beyond that.
