The case is light weight and has a translucent matte black finish that doesn’t show finger prints. The top piece fits the screen frame perfectly and has a reinforced edge to protect the sides of the screen frame. The bottom piece fits snugly to the computer base and has appropriate cutouts for vents on the bottom and all peripheral slots on the sides. The ONLY reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the back left corner of the base will not stay clipped in place, but pulls away slightly from the corner. It’s not enough to affect the fit or the protection provided. Further, I could fix it with a small piece of double-sided tape if it eventually becomes bothersome. All in all it’s a great buy and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to keep their new MacBook looking good.
