The handle is nice and soft and these look super cheerful in the kitchen. I actually hung them up as they are so lovely. They also don't melt in the pan like my previous ones did...

I had bought a whole silicone set. I paid like $30 for it. I was not happy with it at all. I was cooking and I noticed rubber in my food. Thank God I bought colored ones because it showed up so I got rid of them bought these and these are great. Love the colors, and no plastic in my food

I picked up the 6 piece set of MasterChef kitchen utensils because they are an attractive looking set of kitchen utensils. I found they are packed in an eco-friendly cardboard box with no additional plastic. The box did say "Hand wash only" but the listing says they are dishwasher safe tools. I'm using the dishwasher on them and so far that's fine. The head is made of heat-resistant nylon and the handle appears to be made of a clear plastic that is coated in a colored silicone coating with a rubbery feel. In my set, the nylon heads had several burrs from the injection mold process. The burrs were easy to trim off with a razor blade, but normally mold marks don't make it through to a finished product. There is one stress test that I have witnessed family scar my cooking utensils with in the past - resting the handle on the edge of the skillet while cooking. It may work out fine with metal handles, but it doesn't work so well with utensils that aren't so heat resistant. I set the handle of the MasterChef spatula on the wall of the pan while cooking hash browns for a few minutes straight, then found that the colored handle plastic started to melt too (see photo of the orange handle). The plastic handles of this MasterChef utensil set are not as heat resistant as the darker nylon of the functional end. This is to be expected, but also good to know with plastic utensils. After shaving off nylon burrs with a razor, I do like the set and think they'll serve me well at home. The set looks quite nice. Time will tell on if the junction between the nylon head and handle becomes a well for food residues or not.

Love the practical variety of tools in this collection!! Highhh heat resistant (tested) and the colors are bright and universal!

They are wonderful. Very durable material Won't melt. Size is perfect for cooking.

These utensils are a nice set, well designed, colorful, probably durable although I haven't used them long enough to get a feel for that. The first set I ordered had a cracked solid spoon head where the spoon handle was inserted into the spoon head, so back the set went to Amazon. The second set arrived without any cracked pieces but some of the utensil heads had no glue at all attaching the heads to the handles, so the heads had noticeable movement on the handles. I pulled the loose heads off and glued them on myself, but really, this is poor quality control. Master Chef needs a new manufacturer or assembler. And not dishwasher safe, by the way, hand washing only according to the box.

Added a little color to kitchen. Seem sell made. Says dishwasher safe. So far so good.
