There is nothing better to restore the function and add longevity to old (or new) potentiometers, switches and connectors. I have used it for decades. I suggest buying the small bottle with a needle dropper on it. The spray cans are effective but waste a lot of the valuable product.

i saw some one on youtube use this to clean their game cart and also put some in a pot for a 2600 paddle. so i got some and boy does it work well! especially for cleaning the contacts on a virual boy for the displays after solder fixing them. i also tried it out in the volume knob and and its as smooth as silk after applying when turning it and the sound is no longer crackly. it works way better than wd-40! all though the price is high i will be using this sparingly. one thing i really like it the fact that it absorbs in to tiny cracks making it easier to oil a pot. If you work on old electrics this is a must!

Decided to try and repair a remote where some of the buttons had failed. Followed the instructions and now I have repaired 3 old remotes! I am telling all my buddies how great the product is. Saves a great deal of money.

Yes it's expensive, but........ Nothing else on the market works as well as this stuff does, nor as fast as it does! I've tried nearly every contact cleaner and keep coming back to this. Gladly paying the price of entry. I would not spend the money if it didn't perform! It's really good stuff and is worth what it costs!

Expensive but does the job, a very precise tip allows you to apply where you want and keep it there. A little bit goes a long way.

It's Deoxit. That's all I should have to say. It's the ultimate contact cleaner. One thing I did not like it for is cleaning pots. The residue does not evaporate so it caused issues with my pots. But I have other rapid evaporating cleaners for that. One thing to note is that - it looks like the bottle is small. But, it's surprisingly gone a really long way. I used it to clean out some electronic keyboard encoders and it worked great.

I needed this so that I could clean out the pots on my electric guitar's volume and tone knobs and pickup selector. They were getting really scratchy-sounding. I did my research on how to solve the problem, and I found out that I needed some contact cleaner. I first tried some of CRC 05101 QD Electronic Cleaner - 4.5 Wt Oz. because I found it in the house. I thought that it worked at first, but after a while the problem seemed a little worse than before. I then did more research, and I suppose that what I used wasn't quite the right solution. It's also possible that the problem got worse because I put the solution into the pots at the wrong spot. Anyway, I found this solution after more research, and it works like a charm! The volume and tone knobs and the pickup selector have absolutely no static, scratchy noises, or anything else. Now, I don't have to cringe when I need to turn up my volume or change the tone or move to a different pickup. Also, I really like the needle applicator, since it helps with applying the solution in small openings and such. Maybe the first solution would've worked if I'd applied it correctly, but either way I know that this one definitely does work. The only reason that I'm giving this four stars instead of five is that it seems a little bit too expensive.

This is an excellent way to keep bare copper contacts in a mech mod in good shape. It removes light to medium oxidation, protects and keeps contacts cleaner longer, and provides for better conductivity than other contact cleaners. It's also good for cleaning bare copper threading. It has help cut arcing way down, and improved performance. An easy way to keep mech mods in peak shape. It should not, however, be used on plated contacts since it's too aggressive and can damage the plating. DeoxIT Gold is the one to use for plated contacts -- the red is only for bare contacts. It comes in a lot of different formats (dropper bottles, spray, cleaning wipes, cleaning tips). This version is the most economical since it's 25mls. The thin needle dispenser is great for minimizing waste -- only a small amount is needed per use. It comes blister packed, and made it through the mail with no problems at all.

Really nice to have around.

This is the second purchase of this product. I bought a bigger size this time because it works so well!

Amazing product, expensive but worth the money, use it sparingly, mix it with Isopropyl alcohol to use on model railway track and rolling stock wheels.

Por el precio sinceramente pense dos veces en comprarlo, pero una vez que lo use ... ufff no hay nada parecido que haya usado antes (creeme, le busque a fondo). Es un producto costoso pero si eres amante de la electronica y quieres darle mantenimiento a tu equipo no vas a encontrar nada parecido.
