Effective, yet doesn't take an hour!
Personally, I like workout DVD's. As someone who always went to the gym, I never thought I'd enjoy putting in a DVD and then following someone else's workout program. After the birth of our first child, it became much harder to find time to go to the gym so I cancelled my membership (after many years of membership). My first workout DVD was P90X, which is an excellent program and very effective. After completing the program (twice) I found it very difficult to dedicate an hour a day or so to working out. If you have that kind of spare time available, I would recommend it due to the results you will notice; however, I needed quicker workouts. Since then, I've gone through the following workout programs: Insanity (three times), P90X3 (three times), T25 (four times), Rushfit (twice), Beachbody's 10 minute trainer (once), PiYo (almost got through it once - it was tough because I'm so inflexible, but it really is an awesome workout), and even used the Bob Harper (Total Body Transformation) and S.W.A.T. ("Commander" Tom) Workout DVD's. I think going over the negatives of each of those programs would be a waste of time because every DVD has it's positives and negatives. As with any person you meet in life, there are probably going to be things you'll like or dislike about each of the hosts of each workout program. Overall, I enjoyed every one of the workout DVD's I've tried, and I like the idea of switching between them. I really liked the idea of not having to think about what body part I needed to workout that day and simply toss in the next DVD to see what was next. With all that said, I have to say Ript90Fit is my favorite of all of them. Evidence of that might be the fact that this is the only workout DVD review I've posted after all the workout DVD's I've collected and used. I like Jody's style (the host of the program). He's like a regular dude your working out with that day. It's like working out with a buddy, not some TV personality. He's not trying to sell you anything, nor is he trying to boost his public image. I could refer to some of the more popular hosts (from the above-listed programs), but you already know if you've used their programs. Some of them can get to be a bit annoying and hard to listen to at times. Jody is likable, and most of all doesn't seem fake. If you're looking to look and feel better but don't want to drive to the gym or the yoga studio, and you aren't looking for BodyBeast level of lifting, this is a great workout. Most workouts are about 30 minutes, which is perfect, because if I had a few adult beverages the night before, I would just add a little cardio at the end just to feel like I counteracted the bad carbs. It is a great workout just the way it is though. Unless you are some gym rat, triathlete or competition bodybuilder type, this is a great program if you want to stay/get in shape and want to lift a few weights while not getting too crazy. Best of all, aside from the quick, effect workout, is the host is not annoying at all. The cost? Seems like a steal, compared to the cost of other programs I've spent a lot of money on. Highly recommended!

Excellent, fun workouts
I am on Day 60 of this program, and really am enjoying it. The workouts comprehensive in total body fitness, very effective, and they are reasonable short (typically less than 45 minutes) so that I don't make an excuse to skip one. I had been doing P90X for a few years prior, but never completed the 90 day series until the very last time, when I really made it a point to persevere. . The P90 workouts are long (1 hour minimum, sometimes 1.5 hours) and are in a weekly schedule that was getting a little boring. I got to dread Thursday Yoga, and Friday Back and Legs, for example. I finally persisted and got through the 90 day program, but decided to look for something else to continue fitness. RIPT90 is a great program, much more fun to me than P90, I actually look forward to the workout. The workouts are a little more intense and focussed than P90, but they are shorter. I don't think anything is lost in the shorter time, in fact I am seeing better results with RIPT than I did with P90. At the end of each workout there is a superset of one or two serious exercises that really push you to the edge, and I think this is why these workouts are so effective. You take your muscles literally to their limit. There are about 14 workouts, overlapping in what they work on, and they are scheduled in a non-periodic fashion. Being only 40 minutes I tend to go at them more intensely. The workouts usually involve comprehensive motion, and lots of core work, plus lots of squats, which I am beginning to appreciate. The balance across the parts of the body is just right. There are some serious cardio days that get the heart pounding, combined with some weight work. I have been doing some form of home exercise for the last 4 years. I just turned 65, so I don't much put muscular weight on anymore, but I just want to say that as intense as RIPT90 is, I can handle it fine, and even at my age I am definitely getting stronger. (I do all the sets, almost all of the supersets, and have been slowly increasing the weights I use each week). If I can do this at my age, I suspect anyone can do it. Finally, the price is a bargain compared to other programs. The quality of the videos is fine, the leader is pleasant and encouraging, the workouts are no-nonsense, get-the-job-done-then-get-back-to-your-life kind of events that I enjoy, and finally, I'm feeling more fit than ever before. RIPT90 has my strongest recommendation.

Good workout. Not for beginners. Not a great value for your money
I bought this DVD to try after completing T25. I found so far that the workouts are good, however not really for someone who might be starting out. Proper posture is not reinforced, warm up and cool downs are very short and so far from what I have experienced, there really is no stretching. I found the workouts also don’t really vary. It’s pretty repetitive. I would not buy this again for the amount that I paid, but will finish it because I spent the amount that I did.

This isn’t easy, but it’s not supposed to be!!
I’m 44, overweight, in bad shape, and needed a lifestyle change. I had started to “workout” about 4 weeks prior to this video, dropping about 20 lbs and wanting to increase my intensity a bit. This video (mind you I’m barely a week in) has kicked my butt. It is not easy! I have yet to complete a full excersize video without having to slow myself down because I simply can’t keep up. The legs are absolutely aching, especially the quads, and this is with very little actual weights uses. That all said, that is what I needed. I feel it is challenging, difficult, fast paced, yet most importantly productive. The muscles ache because I haven’t been challenging them before. The stretch video is awesome pre-workout to loosen everything up and make it bareable. I may need to alter the 90 day schedule a little based on my abilities but can guarantee it is definitely going to be worth the effort put in. As for the video, Jody is personable, offers support, shows ways to alter the exercise based on fitness level and tries to push you. The 20-30 minutes goes by quickly albeit sometimes the minute or so interval can feel like forever. The recipe book included actually had several meals that look awesome and are definitely going to make their way onto my plate.

It's as said. Even the moderate work out is intense for a beginner. Something that you need to work up to.

Good fun, very tough but worth it. I like Jody, he is likeable and skips half the routines, however, I doubt he could speak if he did as some are really tough. 3 people behind him, 1 always modifying. Make another!

Absolutely some of my favourite workouts EVER!! Difficult but not too long! Received order within a week.

First pic 22 July and 2nd pic 19 Aug of this year. I have done 37 days out of 48 days due to ill health. I will be 55 this year and am determined to be as fit and as healthy as I can be and believe - looking at these pics - I can do it. I do believe I have found the programme for me. The minute by minute 1st time will prove how unfit you are or how much you hate burpees 🤣. That said I have done 3 rounds of the test and can now do 3 burpees without pushup, 5 squat thrusters and 7 setups in less than a minute 20 times over and still be standing...just. I have bought RIPT90 so I have 6 months workout. My aim to be fit and gorgeous but happy with all my hard work - less than 30 mins a day you would be happy with that I am. See the results for yourself - oh haven't been following the diet either
