It's good, it's nice, it works.
I ordered this to power my 220 volt German mini-component hi-fi, which requires a constant 220 watts (minimum) or so, and is powered by two outlets. I was interested in the Seyas 500W because it has two international outlets, obviating the need for a power strip, at least for the foreseeable future. The 500 watt rating seemed safe for my application, and given the good reviews (and yes, I thought it was interesting that this item bore a patent) I decided to order it. Well, what do I think? First, the item has updated branding that isn't depicted here. It's similar, but the logo has been refreshed, and it all looks nicer. This is really to say that I was surprised a bit by the presentation of the packaging... which is to say that it's professional and thus completely ordinary. So far, so good! The item itself appears to be well constructed, with metal appearing to be used for all of its faces. The feel and action of all moving parts is good. The power cable is thick and sturdy to the eye. Everything about the item's physical appearance suggests a level of quality one is likely to expect, which is good to the point of being invisible, and that is how it should be I think. The international sockets do fit my German plugs loosely, as others have commented. They stay in fine on their own, but they are loose to the point of what I would consider "breakaway," i.e. they are designed to release the plug freely from the socket in the event of a snag. If you have a cat, and your cat thinks this new object is interesting, your cat brushing against the inserted plugs is enough to loosen them to the point of interrupting the power; very touchy! With my converter placed under my desk, back near the wall, I found that bumping it with a stray outstretched foot is also enough to potentially loosen a plug to the point of power interruption... not conducive to jamming to the tunes, or transferring electricity for that matter! My solution for this is to turn the converter so it is facing away from me. It makes the sockets hard to access (should I need to access them,) but that is the only resolution that I feel doesn't compromise the safe operation of the product. Are all outlets of this nature this loose with German-type plugs? I dunno. Because I don't know, I will give Seyas the benefit of the doubt until I discover otherwise. A lot of people have commented on how coolly the item runs. The item can warm very slightly with prolonged use, which seems normal. While a lot of electronics are designed to run hotter than many people are comfortable with, this is not one of them. You may not even know that it was on at all if you only relied on your perception of temperature to tell you if it were. As far as the actual power, well... a few weeks in and it all seems healthy. My devices are happy, they work!! Mission complete! And, I *would* purchase an additional converter by the same company if the need arose.

This converter saved me over 200 dollars
I wanted a new hepa air filter for my upstairs bedroom. When looking on Ebay I was able to find a European model for 250 dollars less than the American 120V version. I looked on Amazon for a product that could support a downgrade from European Voltage to American. This product fit the bill. I plugged the device into my outlet and then the Filter to the device and volia.... I have a European model air filter working on American power. This device saved me hundreds of dollars. Additonally, it is simple to use and does not raise my electric bill. A+++++ This inventor of the product deserves props for the ability to manufacturer an impressive product while keeping the cost low.

Dead Silent, consistent, Odorless and 24x7 still no heating
I waited for couple of months before posting any review. However, now I am confident this is the device. First and foremost no odors and absolutely dead silent doing its job perfectly even turned on 24x7. I use this to power a DAC purchased from Europe (made for 230V) to run in the USA @110-115V. Surprisingly this device unlike other converters do not simply double the input voltage. Ex. 120V input doesn't convert to 240V. All the other devices in the similar price range I tried gave me 220-250V when an input of 110-125V is input, however, this device stayed between 230-240V with 230V most of the time making it a perfect match to my DAC required input AC voltage.

Only worked once!
I bought this product to use with my US Kitchenaid in South Africa, after contacting the seller to make sure it wil work. I plugged it in as soon as I made it home from the USA and followed all the instructions. The Kitchenaid would start, then stop shortly after, and then start again, running fine until I turned it off. I assumed that it was adjusting something and didn't worry too much about the short pause at the start of it. I then turned everything off and unplugged it, before heading to bed. The next morning, I tried turning it back on the next morning but it wouldn't come on at all. I was too scared to plug the mixer back in. I have tried multiple outlets, but to no avail. I am from South Africa, I have no way of returning it and don't know what to do because I now cannot use my mixer at all. This is a huge disappointment!

Works ok but a design flaw re UK sockets
Works well enough although I never seem to be sure if it will work! The UK plug holes are at the bottom and yo7 can’t plug them in without having the u it on the edge of a counter to be able to get the plug into the socket.

Easy to use and it works
Bought it to power a European 220v lamp in Canada. It is on the bigger side and has some heft (about three quarters of the size of a shoe box), so not ideal for travel, but I assume it is the size and weight it is because it has quality parts. However, if you are just going to keep it at home it is great. You plug it in, turn it on, and it just detects what is plugged in and converts the power (has various sockets). That simple. It doesn't make any noise, just works.

Excellent product.
I purchased this item to use on my recent visit to Cuba (2022). My cpap machine was rated to handle to power there, but I was concerned about power surges affecting my cpap machine, charging phones, Ipads, ear buds, ereader, etc..... I ran my cpap machine off this converter and recharged all consumer items from it as well. There were no issues. The machine operated silently and was trouble free. Being only 9 lbs, I packed it in my carry on luggage. I plugged the converter into the included power adaptor, then plugged into the 220 room outlet. Worked seemlessly.

Good solid piece
As described. Worked as it should be. Like the 2 220v and 110v outlet.

Check Your Wattage Requirements
The converter itself is a great device and is a replacement for our 5 year old converter. We moved from Uk to Canada and brought items such as hair dryer and hair straightener etc hence the need for the converter. Unfortunately we hadn’t read/understood the wattage requirements so on first use of the hairdryer we tripped the converter so it doesn’t suit our needs but that was our mistake and no fault of the converter. We prefer this one as the sockets are much more “tight” than our previous converter as the plugs were always a bit loose and we had to hold the plugs in on our old converter. Much better on this one. Also the sockets are the correct way up so the wires hang down as our previous model the sockets were upside down which meant the wires were facing up and that loosens the wires in the plug over time. Something to be aware of when buying.
