Cactus Hotel (Rise and Shine)

I love this book! It is narrative nonfiction which is so hard for young kiddos to understand in my experience as a public school teacher. But this book is lovely and it is so easy to understand and see that facts are being delivered, just in a story like way. After quitting my job as a teacher and beginning to homeschool, I purchased only a few books that I read from my public school days and this is one of them! I was so excited to share this book with my own kiddos! For the record, my sons LOVED it and are now begging me to take them so they can see the cactus in Arizona!

Love this book! It teaches so much about the facts value of saguaro cacti and life in the Sonoran desert in a beautiful picture book.

Gave it to adult friend who knew nothing if the saguaro cactus...great book for kids and adults to give a broader awareness if how the desert plants and animals work together ..in addition learning how SLOWLY this cactus takes to grow

My grandson wanted to learn more about cacti. Was an excellent choice, he really enjoys the pictures.

This is a wonderful book to learn about the interesting life of saguaros. The illustration’s are helpful and beautiful.

We borrowed this book from a friend and loved it so much we had to buy four own copy. It holds my 3 year olds interests and helps him drift off to sleep at bedtime. He requests it again and again. And now I feel like a Saguaro expert!

This is a great book and a simple story of ecology in the dessert. My kids love it ages (almost) 2 - 6.
