Hozelock EasyMix 2-in-1 Composter

This is the 2nd Tumbler Composter I have bought and by comparison, this one is superior by far. It is double the capacity of the previous one and so much sturdier, and easier to put together. The door has a lock so is secure, and I am not concerned it will dump its contents on my feet when turning it. The contents heat up quite well, even on a cloudy day. So far, the drainage holes have stayed unblocked apart from one but it was easy to see and clear by poking a small stick through. It does produce a liquid fertiliser to be used on your garden, you can attach the liquid collector to your hose but I have been putting it into watering cans and diluting it that way. If you're looking for a sturdy composter for your garden, I have no hesitation in recommending this one.

I've only had this around a month so can't speak about the longevity and I haven't used the liquid fertiliser catcher, but the reason I got this was because of the rotating drum concept. Simple, yet sturdy, catch at the top allows for easy access and the whole thing runs smoothly over the plastic runners so it won't rust or corrode. It's early days for the compost but what I've put in already is turning into compost faster than the aerated bin I have next to it. I give it a turn a couple of times a week and everything tumbles nicely. The metal rods that provide the structure I'm a little sceptical about over a Scottish winter and anticipating some deterioration over a couple of years, but I doubt this will affect the design much and they can probably be replaced easily enough, should it be warranted. Difficult to spin the barrel once it starts filling up and the hose/canister attachments could be fixed to the canister better (they aren't they secure and can be knocked off easily)

Easy to put together, seems very strong, looking forward to compost, composting in a shorter time. I like the fact that any liquid will go straight into the container directly underneath and can be used for feeding plants.

So compact. Paid half the price on here that was in the local garden center. Worms 🪱 🪱 love it. Really good, keep turning it around at least once per week and it work perfectly. So much easier to use and quality it very good.

I appeared to have been sent a box that has already been opened and crudely re-taped. Missing the screwdrivers stated to come with it but fortunately I already had the necessary equipment. It looks like a great design, very straight forward and quick to assemble. The spinning function looks like it will be very useful and accelerate decomposition speeds. Being able to move the entire keg to wherever you need is a very useful function that I haven't had on any of my previous composters. I've only assembled it today so can't comment on the liquid accruing function but it looks like it an ingenious feature. The lock is very well-built and being able to open/close the side aeration vents will definitely come in handy. The plastic seems sturdy but the rollers on the base don't all revolve as freely as each other, so spinning the keg takes a bit more pressure than if that weren't the case. It doesn't hold quite as much as my previous composter but I'm sure it's general robustness and the ability to spin will make it a much faster and more versatile composter with the locking hatch making it rodent-proof. Update after several weeks: The bottom four rollers have all ceased to spin meaning that the composter is very difficult to rotate, regularly jamming and nearly falling out on just one rotation. Considering that I purchased this as a gift for my Grandmother this means it is very difficult and potentially unsafe to use.

Fantastic for small gardens and the food waste and grass clippings a family of 4 with small London garden creates. Still to see how fast will the final compost arrive, but one comment I would have is that as long as one keeps adding 'ingredients' to it, the 2 months count from that point the last item was added to decompose. For this reason I would say a minimum of 2 such composters are needed, so that one can keep 'cooking' while you fill up the other one. Perfect little thing though, love that you can spin and mix the content and the liquid feed is a big bonus too. Great design and well made. Wouldn't mind it coming preassembled, but we managed to put it together quite easily :)

Was easy to assemble and lightweight to move around. Hoping this will solve the waste food cuttings etc, got stickers to remind of what goes in. My one negative is that when rotating the bin to mix up latest additions a small amount falls through the back of the door and small holes, this for me means we can not have on our kitchen yard

Ahora tengo un compostador grande, pero para voltear el material uso una horca y cuesta mucho moverlo bien, este compostador es de un tamaño mayor de lo esperado, se ve robusto, y el sistema de recogida de liquidos es genial, el poder voltear con esta facilidad el material es fantastico, creo que es una compra muy recomendable, ya que ademas aunque este en el exterior no desentona, tube el inconveniente que no le llego el manual asi como tampoco la pegatina de instrucciones, pero hable con amazon y se soluciono sin problema,

Good price quality ratio. It leaks a bit, specially if the compost is currently anaerobic but otherwise good.

Parfait pour faire du compost. Il ne prend pas de place, ne dégage pas d'odeur et il est facile à monter. Le mélange des déchets se fait facilement en tournant le tonneau. Je fais 5 tour de tonneau tous les 2 jours. Le récupérateur de du liquide de composte est une bonne idée, bien que j'ai pas réussi à l'adapter à mon tuyau d'arrosage. A recommander
