Get a better product. *by S***L on Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2018* They came in with some brown spotting, but green enough to allow new growth. They've been in my tank now for a couple weeks. 125 gallon south american tank. Omnivores, but they don't touch these plants... nor my 3 anubias plants. Ammonia zero, Nitrite zero and Nitrates hovering around 10 ppm. 4ft led day/growth light. I have well water, so they get plenty of natural nutrition. Tank is lit 3 hrs from 6-9am and 3hrs from 6-9pm on a timer. Tank is kept at 79-80 degrees. Perfect conditions for low-tech plants without fertilizers. They should be showing healthy growth by now. I thought I was seeing new growth until this afternoon. 2 out of 3 are showing signs of dying and breaking off of the coconut husks. I do have two fx-6 filters running this tank, but these were placed where they do not see direct current. Not happy with this purchase thus far. If I see them showing signs of further death over the next week, I will toss them before they cause issues with my water quality. At this point, I would not recommend this product. ### ⭐ and somehow it seems that made it even worse. I still hit the purchase button though because I was hopeful. Unnnnnforunately, I'm in the same boat as many of the other reviewers- they arrived partially brown. I followed the instructions on the package and soaked them, and somehow it seems that made it even worse. I popped them in the tank and hoped maybe they could recover. It's been 1 days so far and two of the three are like 75% brown. The other one is doing ok in comparison but it's still much more brown and dead looking than you'd ever want in your tank. Unfortunate, because they're great in theory. I do wonder if their arrival state has to do with the fact that they came packaged in a box with some other items I purchased, were not specially packed at all (no insulation or anything) and it was about 95 degrees outside that day. I believe one "trick" is following the directions. When they arrived of course they were a little worse for wear. Directions state....acclimate them in a bowl of the aquarium water for 48 hours before putting in tank. I did that and it removed all the surface slime and loose pieces...and they ended up nice and green. My comets love them. Yes I'm sure they will eat them up....but I'll buy more. :)My own personal tip....spring for overnight shipping. It makes all the difference.
