Works GREAT!
This works GREAT! It is also amazing how little water is left in the container you are emptying. It also remove a LOT of water with every stroke. I have used it to empty bird baths, water meter boxes, and toilet tanks. I would definitely buy it again. It turns out I really did not need the really long one (which I ordered). If I had to do it again, I would order the shorter version by the same company. So before ordering, think about how long you really need the pump to be. As I said, it removes a LOT of water with each stroke and the same would be true of the shorter version.

Great pump
A hand pump that self-primes and works like magic. You pull the handle up and it sucks up the water. Easy to use and well-built.

Nice pump, hose not so good.....
Hose is not good quality, but pumps works good. Hose broke on first attempt to use as it split open mid way. Its just not a very flexible hose. I emailed the manufactuer about the hose breaking and all they wanted to give me is is an item number to buy a replacement hose # 48024 from Amazon. Thank you Amazon for replacing the pump and hose but the hose will most likely split open again.

Saved my basement, saved me some sleep. Highly Recommended!
I am from Rochester NY where we had an insane wind storm which knocked out power for most residents for more than 3 days. My house unfortunately is at a low point in our track which includes an added bonus that our sump pump runs about 10-20 seconds every hour during wet days. During the power outtage I was hand bailing 20 gallons of water every hour on the hour using an old empty paint can and a 5 gallon bucket. Not surprisingly every big box hardware store in Rochester and surrounding area's sold out of any equipment that could help alleviate my plight including this exact siphon pump. In comes Amazon... where I found this same siphon pump for $10 less than the box stores. I ordered this up and this with 1 day shipping. This pump saved me from insanity and sleepless nights. I was able to completely drain my sump pump well in about 50 full pumps giving me 2.5 hours to sleep until the well filled again because it was able to suck the well completely dry where my bucket method wasn't able to get all the way to the bottom. As others mentioned, depending on how hard you're pumping some water does drip out of the top of the pump, but compared to a flooded basement it was an absolutely acceptable trade off. I will add that I've never purchased or used an item like this before, so I do not know if there are better ones out there. Either way thank you King Innovation and Amazon!!!!

Best Hand Pump Available, Period
I have purchased and tested most if not all brands of this style hand pump. I do water utility work, so I use these kinds of pumps to pump dirty/muddy water out of meter boxes, often with grass and debris floating around. The pumps you buys in store at Lowe's or Home Depot (the yellow ones (affectionately refered to as the shoulder breaker), gray, gray w/red handle) all pale in comparison to this Siphon king pump. In every category, ease of use, durability, longevity, effectiveness in pumping debris ridden water, this pump SUCKS. In a GOOD way, if I'm not being clear.

This is a mixed bag of a review
I finally had a chance to use this 36" hand pump while repairing a sprinkler valve. (Note: the included drain hose is 72".) The first minute was great. I didn't need to use the drain hose. After one minute, the pump rod/handle came completely out. A screw head holding the piece at the base of the rod broke off. Five stars to One star. I took the base off of the tube and examined the detached piece inside. There was no way to replace the screw that held the piece in place, but I was able to push it on and it was a snug fit. I proceeded to use the pump and it worked normally and still does. One star up to Three stars. I didn't want this long model, but I'm glad I got it. It worked well for emptying water from a sprinkler valve hole. Bottom line: It's a three to four star model. It has worked just as I needed, except for the broken screw.

Quick to remove water
The pump was very good at removing water from my underground sprinkler valve box. Over the past few years dirt had settled into the valve box and was stopping the valves from moving. I used water to loosen the dirt and the siphon pump to remove the muddy water. The long stroke of the pump made removing the water fast and the long hose meant the discharge was far enough away that it didn't try to migrate back into the hole. The long hose also means it should be easy to discharge water from a tub, sink, or washer into buckets without going all over the floor. Cleaning the pump was easy as the lower screen (foot) screws off and makes it easy to clean the lower valve. Cleaning the screen and running a few strokes of clean water through the pump had it clean and ready for the next job.
