Is easy to use if you follow the instructions. ( It only worked for my door locks which was fine with me. Would not start the car*) For HHR 2007 it took me 3 minutes To program 3 key fobs once I followed instructions.lol. 1) 1st identify where the plug socket is. ( It is at an awkward angle It hard to see once you're seated in the car). 2) Shut car door 3) Unlock car door Follow the instructions on the package Package instructions: Turn the key to on WITH OUT starting the engine Plug in module Wait for the Beep and the light Flash Press the open and close button on your keyfob at the SAME time until you hear another beep Once you hear the beep that key fob is done Repeat until you have programmed all the key fobs you want to program. Good time to get extra key fobs programmed. Unplug programming module and test each key fob. If all goes well you did it right. It should work for all 2007 HHR's. But I have read it does not work on HHR 2006s so read the reviews regarding your model. It actually took me 10 minutes. The reason is the 1st 7 minutes I refused to believe I had to take out the module open and close the door.. And reinsert the module.😣 * I think the reason it would not fix the car starting was because cause a year ago my battery died and was replaced a week later and part of my computer programming got erased. So you may have to go to a dealer or locksmith to get that part fixed)

So easy to program you almost think it doesnt work. Does work with 2009 Chevy HHR woth remote start. Works on vehicles that do not have the on dash odometer buttons. The dealer quoted $200, locksmith quoted $105, got it done for $60 + tax in less than 5 min.

Product worked but I believe the key FOB is defective. I had researched several items on the internet to clear the error message on the DIC that keeps showing the "key FOB batter low". Each time I would just use the information button on the steering wheel to clear. I finally requested the error message on Amazon and see where someone else had the same problem and said that the key FOB was defective. The window to return just closed and I would like to get the item returned and another one shipped.

I purchased a Dorman 13736 Keyless Entry Remote from Amazon Warehouse Deals. It didn't work. The instructions on the Dorman website state "Programmer will work for no more than 3 sessions." I don't know if that means: three sessions with one specific vehicle OR three sessions and then it dies! Anyway, it didn't work, so I just ordered another one...again from Amazon Warehouse Deals. Hopefully, the second time is the charm! ------- Ok, I ordered another one. Again, from Amazon warehouse deals. It came. I had - at the time I bought the first one - also bought two additional key fobs off Amazon. My plan was to have three working key fobs if this device worked as promised. I plugged the programmer in. It didn't beep like it was supposed to. I tried it a couple of time, each time turning the car off and opening the door per the instructions. It finally worked...it beeped...and it programmed the two additional key fobs I bought off Amazon. But the weird thing was that it wouldn't program the key fob that came with the programming kit! Crazy! If anything, that is they key fob it should have had no trouble programing. But no go. Anyway, I have two working key fobs instead of three. But I am happy that the programmer worked. I would, however, advise people to buy additional key fobs when you purchase this - just in case - like me - your Dorman programmer comes with a key fob that doesn't want to be programmed.

for HHR, put key in ignition turn to on (2 clicks just before start), plug programmer into obd plug under left side of steering wheel under dash (It may be snug fit). You hear a beep, hold first Fob and push both "lock" & "unlock" buttons down at the same time untill you hear a beep, let them up. Then grab next Fob, do the same, and next Fob and do the same. shut car remove key remove programmer from port. Simple and it worked perfectly for my 2008.

Shipped rather quickly which I was satisfied with. Very easy to install to some extent. Works some for the most part but for some reason now on my car it always says that the key fob battery is low and does act sluggish to lock. Took the fob to a battery place where was tested and battery was changed, however that message still is displayed on my dash… don’t get it

Switch vehicle to the run position, don't start it, plug the box into the OBD11 port wait for the red light, once you see the red light press the lock and unlock on each remote at the same time and hold, and repeat every remote after up to 4 remotes. While the red light is on keep adding the remotes while doing this my doors never locked but I programmed 3 remotes

In less than 2 minutes I had my new fob programmed, it’s been a few days and still working perfectly.

Took one minute to install. Door locks wirk fine. Starter doesn't but I don't think vehicle is wired for it.
