Why do you need to take the house apart?

This will help you at the end of the season to be able to take out the larva so you can Harvest for next year. You don't clean the house out you will kill the bees at the end of the season. The larvae can be put into the refrigerator in a special container and then you can put it back in when temperatures reach over 70

I keep reading that I need to clean something like this out.  When and how?

I don't have a tree to mount this to without putting it in the shade. How do you suggest mounting? In-ground post?

Here's what I did.  I got a metal stake from my local hardware store and attached the clip in the back of the house to the one of the hangers on the front of the stake.  For stability I bolted an l-shaped bracket to the bottom to go between the two pieces of wood on the bottom of the house.  I would be glad to send a picture of the mounting if I could.
