Well made works great in tractor

The smaller size lets me move around my hay pen more easily, but I wish it was a few inches longer to counter balance a heavy load. I also would have the tool holes in the back corners (to attach ballast) rather than on the left side.

Very sturdy box. The bottom pieces below the box could be a little thicker or reinforced as you will inevitably move the tractor without lifting and they will bend. Love the tow hitch and the tubes to put a couple of gardening tools!

I had put off buying a ballast box for over a year because I did not want to go through the irritation that I always do when purchasing cheap Chinese attachments that claim to be "category 1" or "quick hitch compatible". Inevitably it turns out the maker of the implement has never actually measured the dimensions of a category 1 quick hitch, and instead has just copied someone else's defective design. Inevitably I make an investment in bolts that can be welded onto the hitch either the inside or outside to make it fit. I fully expected the same here. Imagine my surprise when the 5 minute setup, of which 4 minutes was opening the package, resulted in this ballast box mounting dead center in my John Deere Imatch. So far I am beyond thrilled. Now will I remain so after using it for a season? Time will tell.

Works straight as described

Don't allow the low price to cause you to mistakenly assume that this must be cheaply made. The 3 point attachment is robust and up for any task. I even inappropriately used it to pull out a stubborn stump, and there was no damage. Although, I don't recommend that.
